Ajax...why is it 4 hops. I would have thought it would be only 2 hops.

Ajax...why is it 4 hops. I would have thought it would be only 2 hops.

1) My pc's USB-WLAN to my router
2) My router to friend1's router (he has the ADSL line)
3) Friend1's router to Friend2's router
4) Friend2's router to his pc's USB-WLAN

I can't hop directly to friend2, have to hop via friend1.

Okay...I see.
In my case it will be:
- My ADSL modem to My router (not counted as wired)
Hop 1. My router to my friends router
Hop 2. My friends router to my friends laptop
