Hiren's BootCD FTW!

After spending a few hours trying to do things the legal way, I just gave up and tried Hiren's BootCD. I should have done that first.

Was just trying a simple BIOS upgrade. Online update does not work with Windows 64 bit. Couldn't find a stiffy disk or drive that worked. Making USB Boot disk is an exercise in frustration in Windows 7 64 bit.

Just copy the bios upgrade files to the USB disc and boot from Hiren's and exit to DOS. Presto.

Really enlightening when the best way to do something is to use some Pirated software!

Nope. Almost every program on the CD is pirated. Nearly all proprietary software.

It is just that most of it is older versions or abandonware... but still proprietary.
