Cellc has been pretty sable gaming wise for me, using it everynight now compared to supersonic, much more stable and lower ping due to local routing.

Through throughput is pretty low at 4mbps it is stable.

Can only seem to connecto 2100mhz band only getting 5mhz in the 2100mhz band, using hauwei mifi router.

Unfortunately they occasionally throttle Netflix.

There are no approved routers. You can use any LTE router or mifi device.
 
Thanks for the info on the routers. I checked the coverage in my area and got a Cell C sim and moved to Home Connecta Flexi. I placed the sim in a Huawei B315s-936 router with the following speed test results:

Much better speeds with E5577Fs mifi, compared to 4mbps i got on E5576

Mine's slowed down quite a bit (half what it was one night a week ago, or less), but still feels snappy, and crucially it's stable .... so far. Ping slightly better than usual.

Disappointing, but I am technically outside the coverage zone, even if it is only by 4 houses.

I'm running the sim in a Huawei B525.

Do you see 4G+ on the dashboard of the Huawei?
 
Has anyone else noticed significant throttling with Netflix? I decided to cancel my rain subscription and dive right into cell c... Now I notice that Netflix does not work across all of my devices even though it's speed test shows a good result as well as that the network test is absolutely fine.. very strange.

Is there anything that I can do?

My prepaid 1TB for R899 is expiring 31 July 2021, and I have only used 596GB so far. Wish it didn't expire... To extend it costs like R8000+ for 30 days - ridiculous!

Happy with it, and will get another 1TB.
