Home Connecta Flexi

I eventually couldn't take the constant (2 - 4 times a day) disconnects and router reboots. Signed up for the Supersonic uncapped deal this morning. I was happy with the CellC price and the performance of the network but I can't keep rebooting my router during work Teams calls.

Same happening here now 4 times this morning :thumbsdown:
Can anyone tell me why this is happening (purple LED on my router comes on, no internet)
I had the same issue with my mifi, it's stable on the phone though.

Bought 5gb sim today for R59

Sems to work fine, but need to reboot the router quite a fix times allready.Just stops working.

This is while traveling, have the router in my car.

Trying to replace telkom one in my car, poor connection in some areas

How do i top up the sim without removing it from the router? can I give the shop the number of the sim to load another 5gb?

You can transfer airtime to the Cell C SIM card number via the TymeBank website or presumably use the USSD menu in the router (192.168.8.1) to recharge a prepaid voucher etc.

OK so I have internet today and no purple LED on the router but the speed not as good when I did speed test on Tuesday:

Tuesday
Speed at 05:42 this morning

Ping: 18ms
Download: 30.76Mbps
Upload: 22.44Mbps

This morning 05:51(Thursday 15/04/2021

Ping: 19ms
Download: 5.27Mbps
Upload: 6.33Mbps

I'm just going to give up on CellC.

My speeds average 3-4Mbps and when I'm lucky 5-6Mbps.

Just received another call from their customer service to say that the technician said he cannot find any problem on the towers and they are not congested. I don't know how the technician tested it.

The said consultant told me that the speeds that I'm getting are the average for the connection  If getting speeds of 3-4Mbps is acceptable for CellC then I'm flabbergasted.

She told me that no speeds can be guaranteed.

I have moved the routers all over my house in every room with NO noticeable difference. The roaming is activated on the cellphone and routers.

The one tower that I'm connecting to is about 700-800m from me.

So I presume my 2 routers and my new cellphone must must be faulty as well as those of the other people in my area (/sarcasm)

The consultant just had this attitude of there is nothing that can be done about the speeds because there is nothing wrong with the towers. (According to them)

I think when it comes to service and putting in effort to assist customers CellC must be close to the bottom of the list.

Yah... The whole morning I've been getting around 3 Mbps. Very different from what I initially got... 90's, and then moved down to 30-40's, now single digits...
