Today I did some experimenting and eventually figured out how to load Pre paid Bundles to my Pre paid Smart Data account.
TO PURCHASE AND CONVERT AIRTIME TO A DATA BUNDLE AT STORE (USING PHONE).
Step 1 - Buy airtime to cover the cost of the bundle you want to load.

Step 2 - Place your data sim in your cellphone and dial 141 on your cellphone, follow the steps and use the PIN you bought to load airtime.
(You can also text recharge by dialing *102*recharge voucher number# and call.)
Step 3 - Then dial *101*4*Data Bundle denomination amount# (eg *101*4*150#). That's it!
TO PURCHASE AND CONVERT AIRTIME TO DATA BUNDLE USING ATM
Step 1 - Use your bank card to purchase necessary Cell C airtime at an ATM, entering the telephone number of your data sim.
Step 2 - On your Cell C data stick dashboard, go to the 'Services' tab.
Step 3 - In the command code line type *101*4*Data Bundle denomination amount# (eg *101*4*150#).
The bundle will then add to your existing megabyte balance.
NOTES:
- If you using a Cell C Data Sim (The one issued with a 24 gig or 50 gig stick promo), you are entitled to the discounted bundles and won't be stuck paying R2/mb out of bundle rate when purchasing bundles.
- Pre paid data bundles are valid for 30 days only. Thereafter any unused data will be lost.
- New Pre paid bundles are added to your existing megabyte balance. (Cumulative)
I had 12mb left on my monthly data, and this was added to the bundle megabytes purchased.
