I also got the "Your request could not be processed at this time" message when I tried to activate a 3GB bundle from airtime that I had bought via Internet banking. I had to phone 140 a few times and speak to different people before I got through to someone who actually converted the airtime for me instead of just claiming to have done so. Good luck.

Edit: The last lady I spoke to said there was a "system error", which she then promptly fixed within the space of about 5 seconds flat, while I was on the phone - an amazing feat of technical achievement!

I haven't yet tried to buy any more bandwidth via the USSD menu though, so judging from your post, I'm guessing it's still actually broken and she just performed a 'quick fix' to make me stop blabbering.

Can't convert data, can't purchase bundle twice!

I have been informed at 140 that I can't activate the same topup data bundle twice in one month'on 1 sim.

May I ask why?

I now have money on a simcard that is dictating to me when I can or cannot buy something?

Well, I bought 2x 3GB data bundles this month and I could activate the first one via USSD as usual, but for the 2nd one I had to phone 140, so I guess it's true. A tad bit silly though, if you ask me.

140 could not activate it for me at all. Said I had already loaded the same bundle during the month so now I had to pick another (more expensive per mb) bundle, I mean Wt-?

They put me through to tech support but I gave up after 3 attempts and holding for 10 -15 minutes each time.

Very unnecessary.

This is still a problem. I just tried to convert R400 of airtime to a 3GB data bundle and again got: "You request could not be processed at this time."

every one that has gotten airtime loaded on sim and want to convert it to Data please PM me you number and how much of airtime want to convert to data

Just to give credit where it's due, I did manage to get my airtime converted yesterday after speaking to Ntandi at 140. I had to phone twice before I got through to someone but when I eventually did she understood the issue, was very professional and had me sorted after about 5 minutes. Thank you!

This is totally unacceptable.
I have been communicating with LARS on this very issue for weeks and still there is no resolution on this bug in their billing system. You can't load a data bundle of the same denomination twice. Instead you have to buy upwards or downwards in price, and only once again.

I was told that a software patch would be released in the matter of days, and that was two weeks ago. I received R150 (500mb) FREE for my troubles in bringing this to their attention.

I am a loss of words for the poor service and delivery of this company.

I do understand your guys fustrations, and you are dealing with the highest person.
But for the mean time to help you out, so that you guys can do what is needed, please if need to convert airtime to data PM me,
and i will get it sorted out for you asap,

So, do something a about it!
Get the bug fixed and we can all move on and experience the product we paid for.
By your own doing, you company is falling apart at the seams, it seems.

- No answers to your call centre in under 40 minutes in the day and then being placed on hold for another 15 mins and then having the line cut. This happened to me on three separate occasions in the last week.

- The main secretary at the head office informed me she walked out crying because she can't work for incompetent managers who don't answer their extension numbers. Apparently staff morale is rock bottom.

- A billing system that is still fatally flawed, despite being updated recently. Promises after promises are being made, but no fix.

- Many users are reporting towers being over-subscribed, being cut off the net all the time, no throughput on modems, slow uploads, etc. All totally unacceptable.

- I'm still awaiting a report from the technical team why my signal drops all the time. Ref - 1352859 (05 April 2011), after being told I'd have a report in 24 hours.

And the list goes on. This forum bears witness to the rapidly growing unhappiness of the customer base.

Cell C has the audacity to flight adverts pulling down other networks, claiming to be leaders, when in fact they are dismal failures on all fronts in my opinion.

They can keep their 'black with a touch of white' company.

I'm warming up to red each passing day.

Nooooooooo!!!!!! I just relized I never switched to my second sim card, dammit.... 5 days left and 5 gig to burn, lucky I stay in PE so I can burn all 5 in 6 hours flat :) This is why I wish I could have loaded both bundles onto one card :(

airtime to data

This system does not work well if you had loaded lets say, 3gig bundle and depleted it within a few days. It does not allow you to load the same value bundle. Then you have to call their data support in order for them to convert it.
I have a balance of R400 which i had asked them to convert. They are not able to do it. Since Saturday this has been in a "pending status"
It is now Tuesday and it is still not done

I have the same problem. Not even their technical support can do it.Called them on Saturday to convert R400 to 3gig bundle. They unable as it remains in a pending status. Today is Tuesday and it is still the same. Pathetic service!

I recharged with R400 on Saturday the 14_05_2010, then called your technical support They tried to convert the R400 into a 3GIG data bundle. The system showed it is in a pending status.I called yesterday for an update using my reference number 1377454. Eventually after a number of attempts to your technical support, the status is still the same. I have just about given up. But I can't because there is R400 in the account and I don't want to purchase a smaller bundle denomination.

When, when will your billing system be fixed because in the beginning I could do it via *147# menu. I been told it is being investigated....this is some months later. I cannot call your call center every time I want a conversion done.It's not the easiest place to get through. Now I am in the calling queue for 15 minutes waiting for technical support

Prepaid Ad Hoc bundles on data sim not loading

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to find out if anyone else is having troubles loading ad hoc bundles onto their data sim? I get "Could not complete your request" error and says I must call 140... Using the 2Gb prepaid sim. I loaded R150 airtime to buy a 500mb bundle but have not being able to load a bundle since yesterday. This is very frustrating as I have LOTRO updates that are chewing through my airtime now instead of a bundle!!! And now I have used R20 airtime just logging on to the net and sending this message :( :mad: and I have to buy more airtime to buy the 500mb bundle!!

Cellc rep please help!
