So I have a buyer for my trusty old GTX 460, unfortunately I dont have R11300 for a GTX780Ti as i mentioned in a previous thread, how would games such a Black OPS 1/2 and DOTA 2 run on a HD Graphics 3000?

I also dont want him to find another buyer as selling a old card is very difficult.

Now im not talking about Crysis 3 and games like that.

Thanks.

When I was researching gaming laptops, I'd check reviews on YouTube (of a game like BF3 or BF4 running on whatever GPU a specific laptop had). Perhaps try do that? I'm sure there are people out there using onboard GPU's who have tried.

Otherwise hopefully someone here did :p

I did find some screenshots of a bloke playing Black Ops (I assume the first one) here.

Doesn't look promising, but at least you have a good setup there.

I see here that the HD 3000 GPU meets minimum requirements.

Why not take out your GPU and test before you let your card go? That's what I'd do.

How will the games run on HD3000 ? They won't, they'll walk :-D

Seriously, get a Nvidia GTX660 or ATI R9270X, they are about the same price and about double the speed of your 460.

You could probably get them for under R3000 and will give you enough performance.

So get a GTX 660 2 GB OC.
SLI at a later stage if needed.

It runs everything without an issue.
BF4 on Ultra settings.
etc.

The reason I want a nice expensive card is so that it can last....long.

Reasons?

I'm not picking on you, just curious.

The same way a AMD fan won't buy an Nvidia.
The same way a BMW fan won't buy a Merc.

It all comes down to personal preference.

And EVGA make the best cards. Nuff said.

Not wanting to get into this debate too heavily but Nvidia is currently still the better card imo.
Physx alone is comparison enough.

Comparing a game like Assassin's creed Black Flag on Nvidia compared to AMD is fairly noticeable.
The amount of physx particles being used just makes the AMD look boring imo.
