HTC One X

one x is nice
if u have an issue withhin 7 days.the store will give u a new one straight away(IF THEY HAVE STOCK)
after 7 days. they'll send it in for repairs
by now the wifi issues are probably all sorted
This will most likely sound silly, but I don't like the colour scheme of the One X+. I dig the white One X. And the grey is allright. But the red highlights are a bit flashy for me...

Been a while since I've posted here..

After 6-7 months with the One X, I am still loving it (not even a scratch on the screen either :)). My only gripe is that the battery could last longer but I've come to manage it properly so it lasts a full day with heavy use. I've also found out that my phone does have the wireless issue that so many others have but its not as bad as some have described.

After flashing JellyBean ROMS numerous times I've now come back to a JB Sense based ROM - how I've missed it! I had AOSP, Cyanogenmod, and Paranoid Android, with Paranoid being the best out of the lot skin-wise. Its a hybrid of Phone & Tablet UI. GMail and the general UI is amazing in Paranoid Android and I miss it a lot, though there is a serious issue with battery drain, heat, and screen brightness. Now I'm back to Android Revolution HD 15 and I must say Sense is lovely and things are working better - my device isn't burning a whole in my pocket anymore!

I'm looking at getting a case/bumper for the One X - do you guys have? If so, which ones?

i got fed up of waiting for htc.looks like they delaying so ppl can buy the one x +
i dev unlocked.rooted and running ordroid now,.will let you guys know how it is

Can't beat sense battery but NCX kernel comes close. CM10 is pretty awesome IMO and between the two I'm quite happy to sacrifice the upsides of Sense for AOSP goodness. Get a decent 3.5 hours screen time over 24 hours and that's good enough for me.
Hopefully HTC will drop the new source soon so it can be worked on futher still

Busy running Renovate 12 JB ROM, just amazing, great theme, no bloat and I get 30 to 35 hrs of use which is great, had mine now 4 months and no issues (made sure I got one after the wifi fix was implemented), great phone, very well made (solid). My first HTC but wont be my last.

Hi all, have had my one x for about 2-3months now.this is my second one as the first had a WiFi issue.got one with a serial no. Sh29xxx... Love the phone, although I must admit the sound quality and effects was much better on my desire hd Dolby mobile, the beats audio has no effect from my humble experience:(

I recently found that I have the wifi issue and it hasn't been a major problem, but its been on my mind recently. When searching for quick-fixes I came across a coin trick; you place a coin on the spot where you apply pressure at the back of the phone and hold it there with a case and voilà - better signal.

Well I bought a Barely-There case today and it fits the device so snugly that I don't need a coin to get better wifi. It's astonishing how the wifi signal increases as soon as the case is put on! Now I get 3 bars in areas where I used to barely get 1. So I'd recommend going this route if you're not keen on sending it in for repairs (I wasn't).

On a side note, I found it super hard to find a case for the One X in a physical store. Out of 2 malls with 9 cellular shops, only 1 had cases for the One X! In limited choice! All there are in stores are S3, BB, and iPhone cases

if you battle with accessories etc. for your One X use www.clove.co.uk I have used them to bring in screen protector and cases for mine and it took 4 days from when I placed the order to the package arriving.

I received a 1.25mb update this morning ... Thinking yay it's JB .... And it wasn't ...

I also got that and then manually checked for updates after installing the small patch and Jelly Bean was available. Really enjoying it so far.

I'm on vodacom, no update .. My CID is 16 though what are your peoples CID values ? Can find this out by installing a small app called "CID getter" off play store

Hi All,

Any idea's on where I can get a new 'Sim Tray' for the One X? Seem to have misplaced the original one and now the phone's useless without it!

Any/all advice will be greatly appreciated - I've tried chatting to the MTN Service Centre (To no avail), the guys there just gave me a blank stare...

really dunno why you folks dont unlock your HOX's (they can easily be locked again, takes less than a minute to relock it) and enjoy the wowness of JB custom ROMs made just for the HOX, 60% less in size (all the bloat removed), much better battery and response times etc, I tested my standard HOX with Antutu (tests phones speed and processing power etc. and on stock locked I got a score of 10678 but on Ordroid's JB ROM it scored 12675) and the ROM is 100% based on the stock ROM just with all the junk removed...
