HTC One X

using trickdroid.standby battery life with only data on( gsm only) is quite awesome - 4 % loss in 8 hours

Thanks, would be interesting to see how HTC keeps up with Samsung on long term updates. I hear 4.1.2 is rolling out on the S3.

Im not geting my hopes up, will proably be about 6 month later then the rest of the HTC world! They say its the networks that delay them, true as that may be funny how apple manages to get the same networks to push the updates quickly

im not getting my hopes up either
hope they give us 4.2.1/2 ,,.,doubt the one x will get more updates tho
but lets hold thumbs

MTN JellyBean Update
After last nites update, whenever i plug USB in PC or MAC i keep getting this USB Debugging On, also my HTC sync prog both on mac and pc, no longer recognize my model, international ver HTC One X. I also cant use usb tethering no longer on my pc.
I keep getting the msg "your HTC Sync is not up to date" both on mac an pc, but i know for a fact both are up to date to their latest versions. Also it will no longer see my ext drive on mac, even if i use "Android File Transfer", it does however see my drive on PC.
Everything else is fine, well what ive seen so far and i must admit much quicker......
Anyone else experience these problems with USB connect ?

they remove usb mass storage.its now mtp - so you dont have to chose sd
not sure of your other issues
try uninstall and re-install htc sync?

try usb host mode.quite a nice add on - you can plug ur usb cable into the one x(via host cable)
and then browse files on the usb stick
usb keyboard works too

ok thx man i see what u mean now, i think, in other words i can plug a usb device such as a mem stick, and my cell behaves like a pc now - usb host mode........

the version im using for my mac is 1.1.16, just download it this morning, so must be the latest version, the thing is everytime i connect my phone to my mac, also my pc i keep getting this msg "USB Debuggin On" ???
Also briefly i will see my HTC Sync sees my phone but then get the msg "Phone not detected, please restart htc sync and reconnect phone", this happens in a cycle.......

i got it to work on my mac, this is what i did (Quote from XDA forums, ths to appiehappie94)

Maybe this works (it did for me):

Go to developer options, turn off debugging, leave the phone in the developer options screen.
Now plug in the cable and it should ask if you want to enable usb debugging, so press no this time.
Now disable the whole developer options with the switch on top of the screen.
Just go back out of the settings, plug the USB out and in and let's see...

awesome stuff
now enjoy jellybean

Okay so my thoughts so far. on Jelly bean 4.1.1 and sense 4+
Batery life doesnt seem that much better - though the power saver option and ability to decide if you want all 4 of the options active while on power saver mode is nice. Overall it does run much faster, a big improvement is network registration it used to take at least 5 minutes before my sim would register on the netork (so if i rebooted or it crashed it would be a while before i could make or recieve calls or before i could do anything data wise if i didnt have wifi available)now its almost instantaneos.

There is no longer the mount hdd or charge only options when conecting USB really anoys me, and the thing is (and i think this is a problem on windows with mtp devices) but i cant see the thumbnail previews of photos so if i want to copy a phot i have to open it up to check its the right one.
