HTC Touch Diamond

Just installed Gsen now and got to agree with Grim......its a must have program.:)

HTC should have bundled this with all Diamonds
 
Yeah Pooky i am sure they can give you the Touch with a procall 100 but i think you might pay in more.Give them a call if i were you

I know that, but my prob is that when I am playing a song I can only see the album of the band I am playing at that time, I cant flip through the diff albums, if I want to change albums I have to click 'library' and artist or album or whatever...At first all the albums where there and I could just flip through them.
 
I can't seem to get the phone setup as a modem when it's connected via USB. Anyone ever done this?

Ok before everyone start telling my how easy it is.... i managed to get it working :)

I just configured IE on my pc to use the same proxy as the phone.

Guys do any of you know what tool i can use to backup my spl and rom???
I want to to try a cooked rom.
 
I was so close to getting my Diamond, but our Group policy is that we have to run Blackberrys, so had to choose a 8310... sad sad sad day... They cancelled my Diamond order... :(

You should get that info via the same site you getting the cooked rom, xda-developers yes? Does the Diamond come with the sprite backup app? You could use that. Down load WM6.1 and save to your desktop or laptop hard drive for re installation if necessary. That's available from htc club to registered members...
 
This might be a dumb question (again)... but does anyone know how to switch off the alarm when it goes off? I couldn't get it to turn off this morning when I woke up :)

Please try not to laugh....

Good question! I also want to know. I have two alarms on weekdays, at noon and 15h00.

It's a TF3D thing because it's easily done in Windows Mobile's standard interface.

The only way I've found is to tap on the tiny alarm-bell icon on the status bar at the top. That opens the regular WM event pop-up in which the alarm can be cancelled.

But there has to be a better way in TouchFLO 3D ...

What effect does turning the phone face down have?
 
I found a "solution" to the alarm problem. You can go to Start -> Settings -> Sounds & Notifications and then to the Notification tab. In the Events drop down choose Reminders option. Then tick the Display Message On Screen tick box.

This will show you a message when the alarm goed off that you can then dismiss.

Just want to backup everything before attempting to try a diffrent rom...You never know when you need to use warranty.
 
Has any of you used Google Maps on the HTC Touch Diamond yet? I keep getting a "Your location is unavailable" message when using it and the when switching on Use GPS it just seeks the satellite for ever and never finds it.

Any ideas?

Try it outside, mines worked first time, didnt need to change settings. Watch the data counter on top... just a tip.
 
Backed my spl and rom before trying a cooked rom.

The Elite 3.0 Rom is way better and 10 faster than our Htc roms.My Dimoand flys now:D

Thanks. I got google maps from google's site so i'll try the one from HTC. What do I need to set manually in google earth?

Also, is anyone actively using there phone as a modem? I've got it working (via USB) but there are a few issues like IE sometimes not responding on my PC and then I have to open a new window and then it works fine (and no my IE is not broken because I've tried it with my old phone and it's working perfect). It also seems like cookies are not working in IE when I use the Diamond as the modem (for instance if I open a new tab for this site I have to log in again for every new tab).

Is there perhaps any alternative to Internet Connection Sharing? How do you setup the phone so it will be mapped to a virtual COM port on the PC so I can use it like that to setup a normal dial up?

What a mouthfull... :confused:
