HUAWEI B315s LTE router discussion thread.

I am attempting to connect to my Hikvision DVR. I had a TP link router with ADSL worked perfectly, no issues. Now I've moved over to Telkom LTE with a Huawei B315s-936 router. The DVR is connected by LAN directly into the router and i have an access point connected into the router and my PVR into that. My PVR says it has no internet connection. When i use Fing (best app by the way, tells you IP addresses of all you connected devices since this modem is too useless to do that for wired devices) it tells me that the devices (PVR and DVR) are down. My devices connected via Wlan have internet. Is this normal or is there something wrong with the router?

I have double checked all the settings on the virtual server, WAN port 8000 and LAN Port 8000 using DynDNS. Still cannot see my DVR.

I'm not that technical in this regard but I know that the routing options on this router are quite useless. I know that you cannot change to dns settings on it and need to setup another router, linked to the Huawei to do this. Perhaps this could be an option?

I also downloaded the Huawei HiLink App (IOS) and that shows which users/devices are connected.

Ah bugger! I was really hoping I would have to do that. My inner geek doesn't go that far.

Before I cancelled my adsl I was using a Tp-link Archer D2 (AC 750), could I use this modem?

Telkom updated version 21.313.xxx allows NoIP DDNS server and displays Cell ID on the information page.

just did it... I see it has USSD support now and DDNS with dyndns.org and no-ip.

I wrote a letter a week ago to Armando Moris (our old loved Cell C rep) asking for USSD and NoIP support in new firmware, seeing an updated version for Telkom. [-]Statistics page is added bonus. :)[/-]

Telkom version do not have USSD support, so Cell C did it!

EDIT: I don't see any changes in Statistics page

Ok, I just thought there might be something handy that you use USSD for that I may be missing.
