Yes, this update notification is pushed by network I think. If your router is from Telkom, it has Telkom branded firmware, it can not be flashed with Cell C firmware.Telkom. Does it make a difference?
This normally happens when you max out your upload. even adsl does itHi
Anyone experienced an issue where if you upload a large file, the download speed is severely affected. The ping also spikes to over 1000ms.
Is this an LTE, or router issue?
I'm on version 21.313.03.00.1232

try to limit your upload speed
Turns out I didn't disconnect the land line the voip settings still disconnects the Internet connection.
1. I don't know.
2. Yes, if you connect Netgear by cable.
Thanks- I'm gonna connect the Huawei to the Netgear via the WAN port
This worked for me:
B315
1.) DHCP disable
2.) Wireless Lan disable
3.) Firewall deactivate
4.) Router ipaddress 192.168.0.1
TP-Link D2 AC750
1.) Router ipaddress 192.168.0.2
2.) NB!!! In network lan settings default gateway 192.168.0.1
3.) Ethernet cable connecting the 2 routers, lan port on B315 into dedicated lan/wan port on TP-Link

I signed up for the uncapped Telkom LTE promotion and received the B315 router and external antenna last week Tuesday. The sim was activated within a few hours and I had an uninterrupted LTE-connection (just using the bunny ears) that night, both on my laptop and Samsung phone. My download history shows about 1.3GB for that day.
The next day (and ever since) I have been unable to connect to the internet at all. The router doesn't show LTE speed anymore, it shows either the blue 3G or green 2G light, but I'm still unable to connect to the internet (with any of my devices).
If I take out the simcard from the router and pop it back in, I'll see the LTE light for about 10 to 20 seconds when I switch it on again (during which time the internet works), then it switches to blue (internet disconnects) and eventually to green, where it then remains.
I have logged multiple calls with Telkom and have tried the following steps to no avail:
- resetting the router (both reboot and factory reset)
- changing the APN from "internet" to "TelkomInternet" (different call center agents have different opinions as to what the APN settings should be)
- performed a sim-swop at a Telkom store
- checked that the sim is successfully RICA'd and activated
- manually connected the Poynting antenna - it makes no difference
- upgraded the firmware
- popped the sim into a phone to see if it connects (it doesn't work - no mobile data when I try this)
I have requested a technician to visit my house, but this process can apparently take 7 to 10 working days. I'm trying to launch a business from home, so I'm pretty desperate to get my internet up and running as soon as possible.
Have any of you encountered something like this or have advice of what other solutions I should try?
Your router drops to 3G/2G for some reason and don't know that your Telkom package is LTE only. The next day (and ever since) I have been unable to connect to the internet at all.
