Huawei Mate 20

Most dual sim phones can take sd card with a small hack, then both fit it :)

Sorry - what I meant was that Vodacom (for example) don't like dual SIM phones, as can bypass their exorbitant fees. So the Mate 10 Pro was available in single and dual ... Vodacom took only the single.

Is there Mate 20 Pro also going to be a single and dual, market and network dependent ?
If there is a single, then Vodacom will sell that - but it also means we can't upgrade to that nano card ?

Meh, preordered from Telkom. I have made up my mind. I want it. And the watch is a very nice extra.

Order placed, but I will cancel if they do not include the watch, hopefully I was quick enough :)

Hopefully they phone me shortly, I do have current telkom contract so should not be much hassle.
Hopefully it is 256gb 8gb ram version with dual sim :)

Would you guys say it's worth it to upgrade from a Mate 10 Pro dual sim to the Mate 20 Pro? I'm not sure if I want to scratch this particular itch with a R700 pm contract... I'm on prepaid currently with an additional 5GB telkom data only sim (was one of those deal of the month thingies)

Telkom just phoned me, I'm actually still holding, the one on pre-order is the dual sim 128GB version (R699 on Freeme 1GB)- trying to find out the price of the 256GB version.

Hmm still not bad price for 128gb dual sim, just hope I was enough to get the watch included.

Still waiting for prices on the 256GB version- the call centre agent will call back as soon as he knows the pricing.

I'm just not sure if I want to spend this much on a contract- given it's the 128GB version and I already have the Mate 10 Pro.

edit to add: he didn't say anything about the watch being only for the first 60 applicants though- he did confirm it's part of the package (no limitation mentioned)

That's good to know, telkom will probably call me back when they mate 30 launched :P

Also placed a order earlier with Telkom, wonder how long before it ships
And watches were all long gone

I think it really depends. Do you want/need the extra features it brings? The Mate 10 Pro is a really solid device. So if you have to have the latest and greatest, then go for it.

Really? I told the knaap I would hold out to pick one up in-store should the watch pre-order dingus be finished.

I placed a online order earlier, got a call 20 minutes ago to confirm, when I asked she said they are all gone, maybe you are one of the 60...

Still wondering what the cash price is going to be? Sub R15000 would be a bonus.

The Mate 20 pro will follow the same procedure, dual sim will be available from Telkom and Cell C while the rest will have single sim
