Huawei Mate 20

Not sure what's up with my slomo today, it's just doing this flashing thing.... anyone experienced this, was not like this a few days ago when I used it last.... perhaps a setting I accidentally changed?

Edit: probably the light in the office causing it, will go outside and try again
Yep, this is typical of LED lights, I thinks it's dependent on the frequency they are operating at, usually anything above 30FPS will capture them flickering, I see it all the time with the car Youtubers I watch who usually shoot their stuff at 60FPS, the car DRLS will look like they are flickering.

So, here I am showing a view finder compassion between the Mate 10 Pro and Mate 20 Pro.

I've set the M20P to 240fps (the same as M10P) and you can see how it is out with the focus. Very bizarre because as you'll see above, photos are crystal clear

Is Huawei not bringing the Mate 20 to our lovely country ❓
I can only find the Lite and Pro for sale.

I am keen on getting a Mate 20 Pro. However, I am very concerned about this whole green screen /#Gluegate fiasco. Did all the Pro owners here who had defected screens manage to sort the issue out/ get proper replacements easily?

Have you noticed there's been delays with getting handsets? Replacement stock is now being distributed again, hopefully no more garbage from LG

At least screens do not explode.

The latest update sorted my Wifi issue at least, had to download that 500mb over 4G, took blady forever, would go 5%, then stop and says bad network, then pause, then go, so it went on for 40 minutes, at least now done and wifi finally working as it should

I also read it sorted the "wobble" in 4K video recording at the sides of the video, not sure if someone tested that yet?

I will test later today. It was really getting to me

Is that the not seeing the 5Ghz ?

No mine saw 5Ghz fine, was just stuck in the "Obtain IP address" loop which is more a Android 9 thing on 802.1x networks, but seems not everyone had that issue. (When Google Pixel 3 came out it had the same issues)
Was told to wait for the update, and it worked, so seems something was fixed

Besides the screen issues, the device is awesome! I really love it

This! I want a Mate 20!
You can get them for about $600 on eBay, shipped to the US. I decided to buy one today after a few weeks of contemplating and debating. I'm going to use Stackry to forward it here. I'll report back on my experience :)

Most of the reviews of the Mate 20 have been really positive. For me what swung it in favour of the regular Mate 20 over the Pro was the physical fingerprint scanner (which is the ideal placement imo and I use it extensively on my Mate 9) and the flat screen. The curved screen looks great, but I'm worried it's fragile.
