Has anyone managed to download and install the Huawei call recorder or got call recording to work without root?

@cavedog if only I'd saw your posts earlier, very helpful. Also hate that I have to worry about carrier branding for Samsung'S vowifi. For some reason on my work network my cell c's wifi calling on different android 9 Samsung I've tested work intermittently and I have to connect to a separate Hotspot, reset the phone a few times and then reconnect it to the work wifi to work, how has your experience been?

With regards to the huawei p30 lite's setting for vodacom's vowifi is there a wifi preferred setting or does it only work when in bad signal areas (like Samsung)?

Yes there is settings for it and it works great. Wifi preferred will stick to VoWifi whenever you are connected to wifi and network preferred will stick with VoLTE even if connected to Wifi unless you lose 4G signal then it will revert back to VoWifi.

Just installed and tested it and it works and is integrated in the phone app.

This is an official Huawei app. Just download and click it. You might get prompted to allow whatever app is trying to install it like the browser or files app the permission to install it.

Thanks man, the one I've been trying to install was corrupted. It just said not installed. The one you linked worked 100s.

Finally a phone that can support all 4 networks (MTN VoLTE, Cell C and Voda on VoWifi and telkoms future VoWifi).

Yes indeed. I find that Samsung is trying to be complicated needing the carriers firmware to work sometimes but the Huawei P30 lite if the sim has VoLTE and VoWifi enable no matter the network it works fine. Calls are usually HD too on VoLTE and Wifi calling

For me the Huawei P30 is a cell phone wonder. I have one and I feel satisfied with its operation

So it doesn't look like we'll be getting the EMUI 9.1 update in July. I don't understand why the older mid-range models get the update before we do.

Is it possible to have the second sim used for backup data, ie auto switch to the second card when the first has no coverage? I know one can do this manually, I'm wondering if there is a setting to do this automatically?
