I am having a breakdown

Only real advice I can give here... don't get pregnant. I know far too many people who thought a child will save their relationships.

+1 000 0000 000000 0000000

Just what I was thinking. This should be your first priority.

Second priority.
It would be nice to get maintenance from your ex but he's being awkward just forget about the money. Free yourself from him - let go of him and his arsehole money. Jealousy is a soul destroying emotion.

Third thing - using your child's health to manipulate your husband is weird to say the least. Irresponsible, off the wall crazy come to mind but we all do strange things when were driven to the edge.

So while the money is 'for' the child, the lack of it being paid, is picked up by and ultimately negatively impacts the mother, which negatively impacts the child, who has an overly stressed "nurturer" at home.
Of course it impacts the mother - but it's for the child in the sense that it's not for mom to improve her standard of living directly. It's not selfish to want it - it's for the child.

Fair enough but TWO boxes. Come on mate.
Married people don't have that much sex :p

One pack flavoured, the other ribbed and studded? Besides, it's sealed, so your theory is correct about married people :D I got no clue. A married man having sealed condoms doesn't seem odd to me.

If the pack was open with some missing or there were open wrappers in the car it's an entirely different story.

Wait. You are a woman :wtf:

Nope. I realise that my tone seems to signify some kind of womanhood solidarity. But it really is just the fact that I was the child in this similar scenario (Minus the cheating new husband). I understand the sacrifices that my mother had to make, to try and give me the best. I only know about some of them now that I am an adult and a parent myself.

Yes, but when she must make sacrifices to her standard of living, to give her child the standard of living that she wants for him/her. Then it becomes a bit of a grey area. Sure that money coming in will appear to improve her standard of living. But it is not because the money goes to her, it is because the financial displacement allows her to actually keep a little bit more of her own money, for herself.

@headache........from one woman to another (and, according to the men on this forum, we are few and far between:D)......let me just tell you that there is light at the end of every dark, dark tunnel and I am talking from experience.

What you are going through now is horrendous, and I know exactly how you feel - been through it plus so much more, including fighting aggressive cancer at the same time as my marriage was falling apart. I didn't have any hope of carrying on and my greatest wish was for my cancer to not respond to treatment but then I started believing in myself and thinking about myself for once in my life and realising that the battles I was fighting were all the wrong battles. I turned that around and things started falling into place.

Yes, it is hard. It is hard to let go of the person that you think is the love of your life, it is hard to try carry on when you are in such a dark place that you see no light, but just take one look at your child and think of him. If I can do it, I promise, ANYONE can!

If you want, please PM anytime........you need to be careful sometimes with these guys on here - they are jokers........some (no names mentioned), will be asking if they can tap you soon:D:D

thank you for the advice mrs_ant_man
I do feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. but after everyone's input, including the humour that was found in my story i feel much better now. if you could move on and conquer cancer and a broken marriage, who am I keep feeling like a victim? you are an inspiration

but honestly people, thank you for your humour and also for some of the good advice i got from here. i feel better than i felt in the morning. the road ahead is still long but it needs sanity and a strong minded person.

You're gonna get crap advice here.

  • You need to talk to him and/or go for marriage counseling.
  • Someone in a happy relationship is unlikely to cheat.
  • Child support will benefit the two of you, it won't stop the child from being able to make their own decisions.
  • If he's actually bringing home more money he might very well be putting in extra hours, maybe for the very reason that not getting child support is a burden.
  • He's probably against child support from your ex due to pride, he wants to be the provider without the help of your ex.
  • The SMS could've been from someone who went with for the dinner, I don't know the context of the message so it's just a thought.

Anybody who cheats while happy in a relationship is sociopathic. Not that many people are sociopathic.

You're jumping to conclusions, as I've shown there could be logical explanations for the husband's behaviour. It is absolutely a possibility that he is cheating, but it's not a certainty.

Condoms which he doesn't use at home are proof...
