download speed :D

OK I have no idea how to post an image... so the link will have to do :D

No, its not the download speed, it something with the site, it starts off like that or says that but the counter only goes up at normal speed, mine also does that when I download from them :p

It's always cool to download stuff from high-bandwidth web sites - Microsoft & Intel comes to mind very quickly.

I also got the adobe CS2 update at that speed...

but seems like my speeds have been reverted back to 130kbps :(

This morning my d/l speed was on avg 85kB/s, this tells me that the load on the connected tower plays a vital role in getting higher speeds.

Unfortunately this is not the case, it has something to do with the compression used on the site. Try and download from anothe rsource and you will see your speed drop.

Why do you say this jamster? His speed could well go up on a better site.

and Fishfly.. wow man 130kb is a sad smiley for you? thats over 1mb, what tower are you on?

^^ EHV, 130kB would be more than a meg, 130kb is kilobits. Just a thought, leave it with, use it, don't use it.

OH.... i thought becasue he was getting around 2mb or so that it was meant to be 130KB.

well 130kb is a really bad speed. shame man. unless your capped..

130kbps? **** man, that's awful!

Disable wi-fi on your laptop or motherboard immediately! Are you sure you're not providing internet access to the whole neighborhood?

lol ookokokok ppl are so techinical... it's 130kilobytes/second k better?

kk. so it is really very good.

Wow, well then my question stands, how do you get such good speeds, I mean it dropped to over 1mb. What tower is that on?

Probably just a little glitch you took advantage of though.

I have no idea... I always thought the first of the month when all the users get capped I'll have problems going online... but this proved otherwise... I'll see what next month yields...

According to me the max one can get on a 1mb line is 125kB/s (I stand to be corrected). Was this 130 a continual thing or just a quicky?
