Hi
Thats correct, you just need to type in the apn:
mtnvpn

No authentication is required i.e. username and password can be blank...

Yup ill do that.
i am gone test it on international gaming World of Warcraft pings and local Dota SA server.

Good chance it wont make a diffrence with WOW.
But this is the last thing i am gone try to improve it after this ill get a better internet connection.

Just a bit warried about unrestricted account opens up security vulnerabilities which could come back and haunt me.Or someone could try and steal my wow acount.

Maybe I missed something about the unrestricted APNs...but I don't see why it would have an effect on the latency.

I think the routing is different. People have noticed a difference, I haven't been able to test it yet. And it's not an unrestricted APN, all MTN's apn's are unrestricted.

Can you get it on a prepaid data bundle as well or does it have to be contract?

I have no idea tbh, call 1555 and ask them. I can;t e-mail them as I have no access to anything on my new machine :o

Ok thanks, I'll do it later, don't feel like disconnecting and taking the sim out my data card now.:o

How does that work if you have an RFC1918 IP (172.x.x.x) address?
