In my previous house I first used fired earth when I repainted the second time I used luxurious silk. I ended up using half the amount of paint compared to the first time.

Thats what i was thinking, cheaper paint the first coat.

I found the Fired Earth to have roughly the same coverage as the Plascon I used previously.

If its not a major colour change then one coat of the good stuff will do.

The painters measured about 350m2.
So 2 coats give around 700m2, Plascon and Dulux state 10m2/10l.
That gives me around 70l.

With coverage, never round up.. always down...

The manufacturers put those numbers on the optimistic side of what they can achieve.

I use Paintcor as they have a wide variety of products that work well together. They deliver and will keep a file for your house if you have any special mixes. In terms of their coverage estimation, it was spot on. I however did make sure that the walls were water proofed and primed really well (exterior walls were recently painted).
