International down?

Ya also having a problem with axxess uncapped , tech support has no clue whats going on , this sucks

*cough**ahem*

......

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.....

*bow*

I cannot figure out how service (Afrihost in my case, but I don't blame 'em) can work like this: 10Kb....5Kb... 0Kb... 3Kb... 39Kb.... 0Kb... And all of this in 1 minute! Good channel either work or doesn't work at all! But such jumps seems like a 10,000 users try to download Avatar thru one modem. :) On IS side I would rather stop any service, fix the problem and start on a full speed instead of this 'one modem for all'.

*********BREAKING NEWS*****************

The release of uncapped internet in South Africa has been cheered on by the public

as a great move forward, however Millions of deprived, hungry South Africans who have been craving for this

for so long have managed to suck the internet dry.......

This has baffled engineers who are on the scene staring down at an empty broadband cable?????

Some have blamed irresponsible ISPs for not having throttled and shaped users accounts properly.

Rumors have it that uncapped was only supposed to be an "illusion" but not the real thing.....

Stay tuned for some more news!

My Telkom Internet account, my Afrihost Account, my MyISP Account ... all useless for playing WoW.

AAARG!

This is not funny anymore.

axxess is 1 of the best I have never experienced downtime with them

> uncapped was only supposed to be an "illusion" but not the real thing

Completely confirm. There is no 'unlimited limited' Internet: it's either limited or not. Unfortunately, local providers wasn't ready for 'unlimited' service and f__ed up everything with a first load on channels. I don't want to listen anymore stupid excuses for potential 'pirate traffic' - providers must clearly say: Hey, guys, we're still the same old, home-grown administrators and cannot work in a big business! Our channels are thin and we are too greedy to invest in hardware/bandwidth, therefore we will make 'new' focuses with old hats.

There are very, very few ISP's in the western world that offer unlimited bandwidth. When I was in the UK (Which was up until 4 months ago), all the ISP's had fair usage policies. At least our ISP's dont terminate our accounts and hand over our details to the recording industry like in the UK (Virgin Broadband) when we download a torrent.
Hell, on my iPhone, with Uncapped Internet, I got a warning after doing more than 500mb!
It is standard practice.
