International Down?

uh oh

...fark! hope this doesn't affect my planned BF3 sessions for teh weekend

Well Twitter and Facebook reports that the Seacom cable repairs were complete 25 mins ago... so hopefully this is them switching everybody back onto the main network from their backup systems.

Otherwise, the repairs didn't work! :D

Successful Seacom Repairs - 4 November 2011

http://www.seacom.mu/news/article-8...ul+seacom+repairs&utm_campaign=SEACOM+Repairs

The SEACOM cable network was successfully repaired on the 29th of October 2011 and all circuits were restored to the core network as of the 4th of November 02:00 GMT.

SEACOM would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers, partners and peers for their collaboration and support during the outage.

Our partner network has informed us that the assigned cable ship worked in optimal weather conditions for the duration of their repairs. The cable was quickly lifted, the new cable spliced in, tested and re-laid thanks to close coordination between the ship crew and on-shore support.

SEACOM will continue striving to provide the most reliable service to our customers and to enable the rapid growth of the African Internet.

Doesn't look like the repairs were so succesful!

Afrihost down. Switched to WA.
This is now happening more often.

To be fair, remember that Afrihost has no control over this...
IS is down. I'm not on Afrihost and have no international either, because IS is my SP's upstream provider.
