No I think that's their fee including everything. They were selling iPad 1's for that price before they were here in SA.

From that link it says;
Price exclude taxes.
Furthermore if you click on the Please read our Tablet terms and Conditions link (https://www.aureustech.co.za/general/important-information-regarding-purchasing-a-tablet) in the first paragraph

From that link:

'Is the price listed All Inclusive?

No, the price listed in our store is the price for purchase from us. We do not hold local stock of these items and they are directly shipped to you via DHL International Express. You will be held liable for any Duties charged once cleared by customs. Although we give you a estimate on this value, we cannot be held accountable for any increases made or changes. It is a estimate value that you can use as a guideline to prepare. Usually the duties are 14% on 110% the value of the purchase (declared value not purchased value). Please note if you exercise any of your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, you will only be refunded for the total Purchase Price. This excludes any charges DHL, SARS or any other entity may charge against your name.'

Hi Mith
In regards to this, we ship these items directly to our customers to save on time and unnecessary expenses. Thus making us the most competitively priced Grey iPad store in the country.
We would calculate this fee into the total cost for the unit, but our shipping company and Customs charges this to the addressee and not us, thus causing a problem. We can assure you that even with the added customs you will still pay at least 10% less than our nearest competitor.

This morning I saw a company charge R15000 for the iPad 2 64Gb 3G Model, in comparison, our iPad would be R7999 incl. DHL Express Insured Delivery, 6 Month Money Back Guarantee and VAT + duties will be approximately R1400 on top of that.

Although a huge inconvenience, which we are actively working on eradicating, we will have to apologize.

Let us know if you need any more information regarding this. We have already started taking Pre-Orders.

I'm off to Texas on the 21st - hopefully the Austin Apple store will have stock!

Luckily for me my dad is over here visiting so he can take my iPad 16GB wifi back with him, Gazelle will collect it and I'll have $300 towards an iPad2. :)

Does anyone know when china is getting ipad 2, dad going over there mid april.

Will the 3G on the USA models be network locked ?

And will it support 900MHz CDMA / UMTS. (Cell C) ?

No they will be unlocked like the first iPad, and yes they support 900Mhz 3G, (Cell C). Just make sure you get the AT&T model, not the verizon!

+1 would totally suck if you bought a Verizon model and brought it back to SA - would be a very expensive lesson to learn - hehe ;)

They are not network locked, but there are two versions of the iPad 2. A CDMA version and a GSM UMTS 3G version. The latter will work with South African networks Vodacom, MTN and CellC
