iPhone 14 discussions

Ugh! I've had that issue with Telkom mobile. Use a variety of tricks include activating international roaming for sms, loading small amounts of whatever data service's they offer, etc

Never quite figured out what combo worked when it eventually started working.

Thanks. I think I’ve tried pretty much everything with no joy. I read my MTN eSim may be to blame. Considering removing plan but then I have to go In store and do a physical sim swap to get a new QR code to reload the plan. Between Apple & the networks they don’t make it easy!

A friend of mine needs to replace her daughter's iPhone and wants to know if she buys an iPhone 14 in SA will it work in the US?
I believe it will but I am no expert on iPhones and would prefer to ask those who have more knowledge than I do.

Yes it will work.

US Prices:

iPhone 14 128GB - $799
iPhone 14 256GB - $899
iPhone 14 512GB - $1099

SA Prices:
iPhone 14 128GB - R21,499 ($1230)
iPhone 14 256GB - R23,999 ($1374)
iPhone 14 512GB - R29,799 ($1705)

I am telling her to buy it there and do an eSim
Those US prices are excluding sales taxes. The SA prices include sales taxes.

Yes...8Gb via Airdrop would go quick. Sure, it would be nice if they can move to USB-C/Thunderbolt blah blah blah but it seems everyone has all of a sudden forgotten about AirDrop
You forgot the sarcasm tag.

Currently have a Xiaomi Note 10 Pro dual-sim, but after seeing how fantastic my wife's iPhone 13 Mini is, I think its time to switch back to Apple. Also want a much smaller screen.

First sim is Vodacom (company), 2nd is MTN (personal prepaid). Is it possible to get the MTN physical sim changed to a eSim? Or to switch it to Rain / Afrihost?

Not so clear in the threads that I searched here on MyBB. Thanks!

Not sure about MTN but Telkom converted my physical non-contract SIM to an eSim without any issues at one of their service centres.

Vodacom and MTN don’t do prepaid eSims.
Can confirm cell c does. Sounds like Telkom do too.
