iPhone 4 launch confirmed by MTN

I cannot believe that companies like MTN allows people like that to work in their call centre. It's pretty much the same with Vodacom as well. 3 people in the same Vodashop has now given me 5 different stories in the span of 1 month...

How difficult is it to send an email to all staff saying: "iPhone will be launched on ________. If a customer asks, tell them that"

Tell you what guys, my bets are for the beginning of October. The free cover from apple ends at the end of September.

Good point. Was actually wondering if that offer would be extended to cater for countries only getting the iPhone now.

Dude, that has to suck for the local cell companies.

But the pricing should be similar, what do you guys think?

My friend in the UK got his for ÂŁ219 pay in and ÂŁ40 pm over only 18 months, for a 32GB iPhone. African pricing sucks.

What a load of BS. Namibia has the thing ffs. MTN and Vodacom both make big a who-ha about launching the phone in September and then when they don't do it nobody says a thing. Not even like "sorry guys, we are having problems with getting stock", or some crap like that. Basically none of the cell companies care about customer service.

Well, Vodacom's CEO pretty much put his .... on a block by confirming in various tweets that the phone will be launced by end September.

Nice!! Although the next thing will just be complaints about the price.
