The android brigade will do everything they can to discredit the iPhone.

No, the "android brigade" will question the real life relevance. I've never switched between so many apps so frequently on any device I've ever owned. Serious ADD if you need that.

And if switching between one app takes half a second longer is anyone going to even notice...

Android phones last beyond 2 years, some people still using the SGS 2. After 2 years iPhones become obsolete.

Ever conducted bend tests on your phones?

I'd certainly notice if I downgraded from iOS to Android.

How's iOS 8 working out?

The most advanced operating system is now even better. Great that even 4 year old iPhone 4 users can keep up with modern times.

Just loving iOS 8. The Camera and Photos apps really have been overhauled, I'm sure all the iPhoneographers are enjoying it.

Looking forward to OS X Yosemite integration.

What about the iCloud bug that deletes everything? The general remark about iOS 8 is that its crap with users wanting to return to iOS 7.

No. But I certainly see real world relevance in seeing whether your phone will bend when sitting with it in your pocket.

I'd certainly notice if I downgraded from iOS to Android.

Awesome. Presumably you also only shake once when weeing and wipe your ass once when taking a dump as those few seconds saved are critical to your existence. ;)

Except you have no such evidence.

Time is money. :)

I don't need to conduct a special test. I often hop in the car and almost neuter myself when the Galaxy in my pocket decides it is not going to bend.

You have no reason to believe the iPhone 6 Plus will be any different.

Colostomy bag FTW then....

Nowadays, UX is everything. I prefer the best one possible. Ironically, this all happens on the 'slowest' hardware.

That's to be expected on a low clocked dual core CPU with 512MB RAM. The point is that it's running the latest software, and there are many benefits to this, especially if one's in the iOS system.

And it'll still be smoother in a few aspects than many more modern Android devices.

Could you please remind me which Android version the Galaxy S2 runs?

"It's on CM11 and running smooth as butter. Bugs? WTF is that?"

Android finally going 64 bit. There is no chance the flagship phones will be slower than an iPhone.

I don't think they'll be slower than an iPhone. I don't even know if the Note4 will be slower than the 6+. But beating the pants off the iPhone6 is not likely to happen. I think at most they'll be 10% or so faster, and then the next iPhone will again take the lead. Apple are doing some very impressive things with chip design right now. In fact on single-thread speed and HTML/Javascript rendering, I feel comfortable to predict that iPhone6 will still be in the lead in a year's time. And in multitasking and app-switching as seen in that video, iOS seems to handle it better than Android.

http://www.redmondpie.com/iphone-6-...illion-reservations-in-china-in-just-6-hours/

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus may have launched across some 30 markets over the past couple of weeks, but the grand roll-out of Apple’s latest smartphone is far from complete. The company has, over the past few years, increased retail and promotional efforts in China, with the nation’s three major carriers all now supported and able to offer top-level cellular speeds, and although the October 17th retail date for Chinese iPhone 6 fans amounts to a delay of one month compared with the UK, US and several others, fans of the handset remain undeterred. Apple and its carrier partners won’t be taking pre-orders for at least a week, but with reservations having begun across various outlets, some 2 million devices have already been secured in just six hours.
