Actually wonder how those tests would fare with CM on the phones.

CM support up to a specified release per device, which is not so much due to hardware limitations, but down to userbase of the specific hardware.

Also, I'm not sure how much backporting they are performing from CAF to AOSP?

Hi,
So just to get this right, you got 9Hours and 40minutes, so lets say i leave home at 7 in the morning, and i use the phone at work to check emails, browse internet, whatsapp etc, the time i get home at around 5 the phone will basically be dead?
That was exactly my problem with the Iphone 5, this is just simply not acceptable. i cant permanently carry a charger with me, what happens when i go camping or i'm in the situation where i don not have a charger. My Iphone 5 died countlessly when i really needed it. 9 Hours is really not good.
I love Apple, in general there is no doubt in my mind its the best phone available, but the agony of that battery.
Will love to hear how the 6+ preforms.

On a different note, my Lumia 1320 is on day 3, still has 30% battery left :p

You are mangling quite a few stats, you do realise that the 1320 is rated as 10 hours web use or 9 hours video use? If I made less use of the phone I would probably also get to day 3 without charging ;).

Quite a lot of my use was web and video, so your giant phablet isn't all that much better than a tiny iPhone 6 for that.

Only 9 hours use? You better throw your 1320 away, it's useless ;).

It lasted me 3 days with moderate use, which includes videos, Web browsing, playing games. (while Wifi was turned on)
I had a iphone for 18 months, hence me asking if the new one is any better?, the iphone5 did not last a day, that with light to almost no use at all.
Looking at those stats you just posted, or the figures are way off, of my Iphone battery was farked since day one, there is absolutely no way it was ever going to play a video for 9 hours, that actually made me laugh.

Those stats quoted are wrong. Im with you on this one, I have the 1520 and the battery is crazy.
Been through a bunch of iphones and flagship androids and this battery easily lasts double the time those did.
Heck when I go out of town for work I dont even take my charger unless its going to be more than 3 days.

LOL, I am to scared to try this but have been considering washing my S5 in the basin. :D

Go for it,I normally just take some mild soap to clean the phone then give it a proper rinse and it really is great having a phone with absolutely no oil film/residue on it.Just make sure you close the port at the bottom properly and remember you must have it registered for ADH before you attempt purposely putting it under water.

Show off!
:D I use the waterproofing so its making it hard for me to upgrade to the Note 4 or iphone 6 in a few months,I'm keen but honestly I'm going to miss the water resistance especially since I have kids that play with my phone sometimes and we all know how a phone looks after kids have played with it.

How I wish the Note 4 or iphone 6 was waterproof.

Pics/videos or it never happened.

Ok I'm uploading it now but its like 700mb each video,on a 2mb ADSL connection uploads crawl along so might take a while.I really need to get that Telkom VDSL line activated, think I'll apply tomorrow at the store,I want the smart home supreme but not on contract.

That Z3 is a nice looking piece of kit. 2 days battery life and fully waterproof.

I know, and the first device I ever washed was my Xperia tablet Z,but I've heard of a few cases where Sony's were damaged by water and Sony refused to repair them.ADH gives you that peace of mind, wish Sony had this for their phones since I love their phones.

Spilled a full glass of coke on my phone a few minutes ago. Rinsed under the tap and gave it a wash while I was at it. Long live waterproofing :D

No, I doubt they are wrong. GSMArena is well regarded in the industry and is pretty scientific in their methods.

It's more likely you aren't remembering your actual usage amounts then for them to be wrong.

You can make it a habit, just don't ever forget to close the port first.

Here's my first attempt at uploading a video to YouTube for sandman. http://youtu.be/5ebIfSdMi9U, this is a short video taken in umhlanga as the tide was coming out and I was on my way out so it's relatively shallow water, the phone was subjected to much worse in the hour before I took this video.

Hahaha!! Just skimmed the most recent posts on the Galaxy Note 4 thread looking to see if I'd find any anti-Samsung post from iPhone fans. Guess what, found nothing

I'm told the iSheeple/iFans are the worst

I picked up a midnight blue leather case for the 6 yesterday, very nice fit, and really good feel to the leather. Looks blue in some light and almost black at other times.

Just had the best phone call ever. Told MTN to stuff their contract.

Now for the long wait for the iPhone 6
