I've got no intention of getting one at this time but I'm also curious to hear what Vodacom's data plan pricing will be like.
My money is on exorbitant![]()

Seriously get whatever phone you like but just buy yourself a decent point and shoot if you're at all interested in photography - they have better glass and superior sensors than any camera phone.Just my take on it...
The features most important to me on a high-end device is wi-fi and photography.
Since the camera on the i-phone is rubbish (I've read the reviews), I'm considering this puppy ..http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/7715_Samsung_INNOV8_i8510-8_megapix.php
Ok, it's not touch-screen, but pretty well specced. Im just sayin

Can anyone provide an update on unlocking the iPhone 3G? Being forced to use Vodacom may be just too much of a hurdle. Isn't network locking illegal here anyway?
From what I've read, it may just be better to stick to the GSM version anyway. At least you can unlock it and use it anywhere, and there's a lot more coverage. Speed is not as different as people think, and the UMTS version eats power.
