Is anyone else mining? I'm a noob.

Installation and benchmarking was a breeze. Then I clicked on Start - cmd window opens for a few seconds then closes. Zip. Nada. Nothing. Will stick with the current version until all the bugs are squished.

My setup is just my home PC at the moment: Ryzen 1500x and a GTX 1060 6GB. Set it to mine when idle, and have made a whopping £3 since Friday! I guess a dedicated multi-GPU rig is the only way to really see the benefits of mining, but ain't nobody got spare cash for that, so I reckon I'll do it in bits - maybe add a GTX 1070 or 1080 to the mix for now?

Just cancelled my orders for 1050ti's. Dont think it is worth is in the long run.

You looking at a return of on average R20 a day or R600 a month. The card costs R2800. But the time you attempt to reach your payback, the market will be flooded with more powerful cards.

Well that depends entirely on what you want to do with the crypto you make and where you believe the market will go in the future.

Right now in the short-term I agree its not worth it but if you intend to hold for 2-3 years and expect the cryptos to be 5x todays price its a diff story.

I'm in and in fact just ordered more GPU's as according my calculations worse case scenario is the rig pays for itself in under a year.

That shouldn't factor into the mining calculation though, since you can buy crypto with cash to get the same gains with speculation.
