Is evetech good or shady?

they are a legit place
there after purchase support and the courier costs outside of big cities is horrible though
Wanted to charge R139 for memory, with the delivery expenses, wootware charged R49 and they are in CPT.

they charge me R250 courier for a "Free delivery" CPU (insurance not included) Johannesburg to PHB
Wootware R90 Cape Town to PHB

yup
and they where a week late
this bex express seems more like a sham
A friend swore by Evetech, he ordered stuff the same time I did from wootware, I got mine 3 days later.

So picked up Corsair HX1000i from Evetech last Saturday. Opened box up yesterday only to find out my PSU has no AC cord. Manual does state it should come with one. PM'd Evetech they say it doesn't come with power cord.

Find it quite laughable actually. A PSU without a power cord. And before anyone says "just use a kettle cord" its not the point. If box contents state it comes with AC cord then it should include AC cord. Paid just under 3k for the unit I would think it includes power cord.

same here Raru and Wootware take at most 3 days to get here
They have such good deals but this courier crap just kills them

I've bought two power supplies over the course of this year, not one included a power cord.

They have good deals, until you tack on the courier fees.

I think the Superflows come with them, Corsair and Coolermaster don't. Which in the past wouldn't have mattered to me as I would've had spares coming out of my eyeballs. But I've not really done anything with PCs for 9 years so I've repurposed those cables over the years.

Picture of manual saying it comes with power chords. It should probably on the box somewhere. But yes, they are not always included and sometimes when they do it is anyways not fit for a South African plug.

My brother had a horrendous experience with Evetech trying to get a keyboard replaced that was still under warranty. They do the minimum required by law and not a jot more. It's pretty clear from the way they respond to queries that individual customers don't matter much to them at this point. As a result, our entire group of gamer buddies are now on a full-blown Evetech boycott. It may not matter to them but we sure won't be spending a cent with them again.

wootware and rebeltech FTW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't get myself to buy from Rebeltech. Their website is just plain awful.

true ... Its not the most user friendly but if you use it enough you can figure out where things are located.
