The problem with the Tytn II is the size, and I don't have a need for a keyboard.

yeah the TytnII is a bit chunky but it's minute considering all the technology packed within its frame. Predictive text is a revelation when it comes to typing sms's or emails but the qwerty keyboard is just as effective and it's cleverly concealed, not a hinderance at all but a very worthwhile addition. What I like about the Tytn is it comes with office mobile, it effortlessly opens word, powerpoint and excel applications. The browser etc is what we used to using with windows so there is a familiarity about it all which is very, well, familiar...

Athlon don't act like a smart ass now... I have seen those youtube videos (i also know how to use google and in fact use it extensively when researching a phone!) but not one source seems to confirm that it is a v20 problem, so once again could you please point me in the direction that shows this as the cause? Hence the reason I did not jump to a conclusion when i stated my problem on here.

My phone was bought in Dubai, so that may be a reason too. Perhaps a batch from there hence no complaints like this here in SA.

You may notice that a few of us have the sh_ts with you. Do you not think it may be the way you come across in your posts? You may not see it but you come across as very condescending, hence the reason people feel the need to attack you.

To add fuel to this argument you will notice that on GSMArena i said that over 100 000 people had voted in the N95 poll, and needless to say there are more N95 owners than this in the world. I am sure if you searched for a problem with any product in the world you would find issues/problems/complaints, so the relative few issues mentioned on YouTube are neither here nor there. In fact according to you originally his whole decision not to get an N95 should be based on the one Java app that acted "funky" on your friend's phone. Now that we are argueing this with you, you decide to do some more research. Our opinions on the other hand are based on extensive day to day use of the said device!

Pooky (as this thread is actually about supposed to be about you and not SE fanboy!) the N95 comes standard with RealPlayer... I have also added the DivX application and as a result am able to watch full length .avi files that I have loaded onto my sim card. This application also allows you to watch the movies in full screen landscape for an even bigger picture. If you don't feel like going in and setting the app to landscape you can always add RotateMe app and switch the view automatically merely by turning the phone. I see now that there is even an app for watching .flv files or in fact watching them straight from YouTube.

As for the camera let me not give you a biased opinion like some people here tend to do, but rather check it out for yourself. As you asked Symbian-Freak did a direct comparison between the N95 camera and Canon 6mp digital camera... see the results for yourself here... http://www.symbian-freak.com/reviews/n95_vs_n93_vs_10d/n95_vs_n93_vs_10d.htm

If one person's opinion is not good enough then GSMArena did a blind test between the Nokia N95 8GB, Sony Ericsson K850, Samsung G600, and LG KU990 Viewty. REaders where shown pictures but not told which phone took them, so no fanboy bias here... check the results yourself here... http://www.gsmarena.com/5_megapixel_faceoff-review-191.php

I Think is a very subjective topic,n95 owners don't see a single flaw in their R7000 device.i'm planning on replacing my n73 with an n95 my only is the weak battery of the n95.moving from the n73's 1100mAH to 950mAH of the n95 is quite a drop.

I'm with Nashua Mobile and on Vodacom but I see they have the N95 quoted at a pay in of R3190.86 on Mycall100.

And the HTC Touch at R2620.86 pay in.

Usually best to wait for special offers or shop around if you are not in a rush. Tend to find the price fluctuates from SP to SP

It seems users with that problem start experiencing the problem after updating their phone's firmware. To me that sounds like a firmware issue. But even if it isn't, it's still an issue.

You may notice that a few of us have the sh_ts with you. Do you not think it may be the way you come across in your posts?
I don't see any problem with the way in which I came across in my first post in this thread. I think you people have the sh_ts with me simply because I said that there are problems with the N95 and you can't handle hearing this.

You may not see it but you come across as very condescending, hence the reason people feel the need to attack you.
Do you honestly think I'm just going to sit back and relax when someone tells me I'm talking BS when I know I'm not...
If you really want to make a positive contribution, stop telling me what I can and can not say and rather post a list of your likes and dislikes of your phone (and no, there can't not be dislikes because nothing is perfect).

To add fuel to this argument you will notice that on GSMArena i said that over 100 000 people had voted in the N95 poll, and needless to say there are more N95 owners than this in the world.
Your point?

I am sure if you searched for a problem with any product in the world you would find issues/problems/complaints, so the relative few issues mentioned on YouTube are neither here nor there.
Yes, but NoADSLyet specifically asked me to post a few links to sites which describe some bugs on the N95.

In fact according to you originally his whole decision not to get an N95 should be based on the one Java app that acted "funky" on your friend's phone.
It wasn't just one Java app which gave problems. My friends have mentioned a few other problems too. One of them:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IueBJDI7kdw"]YouTube - N95+V20+Bug+for+ringtone?[/ame]

Now that we are argueing this with you, you decide to do some more research. Our opinions on the other hand are based on extensive day to day use of the said device!
That's great and valuable too. Just please don't tell me I'm talking nonsense when you don't know what you're talking about.

Sorry Pooky. This is just ridiculous. You mention that you don't want a very bulky phone. The N95 is pretty thick in my opinion. The HTC Touch is quite wide. Maybe those aren't the best phones to look at then. You seem to have a lekker budget though, so maybe have a look at the SE K850i. It's got a great camera and isn't too big: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_k850-2003.php

Sorry. I didn't see this post before making my post. I'm not too sure but you should be able to get the SE K850i for free on MyCall 100.

Edit: I had a bit of a look around, and it seems you won't be able to get the K850i for free on MyCall 100. What is the maximum you're willing to pay in?

I vote N95 and now I'm going for the N95 8 GB although I could just wait until they arrive i.e.8gb micro mem card

It's the best phone I've owned also the amount of apps that's available is awesome! Not to speak of the internal GPS it's perfect I have the licenced version of GarminMobile XT installed!, PhoneGuard 2.0, voice SMS for sending and receiving, RotateMe, International remote control, Mouse etc etc too many to mention, people are amazed at just what the Nokia N95 can do, in fact you can talk for hours about it, I have had mine for a month now and could not be happier!!!

So yeah N95 is well worth it!!!:):):)

BTW I have had a few issues with some software(Beta) but removing them sorted it out other than that NO PROBLEMS! OH Did I mention I have V20.0 installed and I believe 21.0 is not far behind, there has been some excitement over the 21.0 of which I'm waiting for!!!~

And to everyone here on the forum Have a successful 2008
Please don't send me wishes, they did not work for me last year, cash will do...(Hey only Kidding) Take care!

Ha ha ha ha now Athlon goes and recommends the K850i again when clearly Pooky has not mentioned the desire for this phone, and he then claims he never turned this into a K850i vs N95 thing!! ha ha ha ha ha!! You do have to wonder...

Pooky you can also get the Nokia 1200 for only R369 on pay as you go.... about as useful as Athlons suggestion!

"Sorry Pooky. This is just ridiculous." Stop apologising and just shut up!

Please remind me when I mentioned the K850i previously in this thread. Thus far I have only mentioned it in the following posts:

If you actually have a look at what Pooky's requirements are, you'll realise that the K850i is actually quite a suitable phone:
Cool thanks. One thing I'm NOT going to be using the phone for is business. I don't need a good calendar or stuff like that. I want something that is relatively small, powerful as in playing many formats of sound/video etc.. camera is a nice bonus which would be used.
How good is the N95's camera? Does it even stand a chance against some of the normal digital cameras?
The N95 is certainly not small.

Grow up...

You'll notice that the only people attacking me here are the poor N95 users.

I think pcgig sums things up quite well:
I Think is a very subjective topic,n95 owners don't see a single flaw in their R7000 device...

Umm Athlon the word again means "once more"... you yourself quote two instances where you recommend the K850i and then add to that the final time and you will see where I get my "again" from!

"If you actually have a look at what Pooky's requirements are, you'll realise that the K850i is actually quite a suitable phone. The N95 is certainly not small."

Well let's just prove your bias here once and for all....

SE K850
Dimensions 102 x 48 x 17 mm
Weight 118 g

Nokia N95
Dimensions 99 x 53 x 21 mm
Weight 120 g

Now shut up!
