Is this the iPhone 6 killer?

Don't know about that, the G3 has a much higher screen resolution than what the G2 had. I like it. Camera seems to be great as well.

BTW, I have a LG G3 Dual sim, and I wouldn't swap it for two 5S 32GB phones. That sort of tells you what the 5S is worth now, about R3500 max.
If you can find me a R3500 5s I've got cash in hand. There was a 4k 5s 32gb last night on Carbonite and it went in about a minute.

Not true. That's more like a 5 price. And it depends to whom you're selling. iPhones depreciate far less than other phones, which makes up for their slightly higher cost.

I wouldn't pay more than R2500 for a 5S 32GB.

But I don't really buy old tech, unless it is for the gardener.

That looks like operator error.

That is what you call point and click. And it was consistently the case across various roms and conditions. I could get some decent pics out of it in better lighting conditions but it fell to crap indoors.

Here's an example of a better picture:

Yet the "old tech" you claim obliterates the new and even current.

I've got news for you, it is not slightly higher, it is significantly higher, so, no, the slightly higher used value does not make up for that.

You cannot be taken seriously displaying how out of touch you are with contract and cash prices.

it just couldn't handle the exposure in the background. Another area where iPhone excels.

IMO your hot food steamed up the lens in that first picture.

But I have never used a G2, so cannot really comment.

My G3 seems to take great pictures.

But I'm not a brand whore, will use anything good, my previous phone was a Samsung, only bought the G3 because it was dual sim, had good reviews and had a higher screen resolution than most phones on the market (same as Note 4).

IMO the Note 4 was too expensive, would have cost me more than R12 000 for a dual sim.

iPhone 6 also way overpriced. But at the moment iPhone is excluded from my market because I only use dual sim phones.

You talking about the G3 Dual sim ? It's only been out for 3 months.

But yes, it will soon be replaced by the G4, and there is also the G3 LTE-A, available now.

The fact that I said "new and even current" implies I was referring to various phones, not yours personally.

Compare yours to iPhone 6/6 Plus, then we talk.

I don't do contract, have no idea about that. But if you analyse those deals you will see that you always get ripped off.

Agreed, which is why I buy cash. But you are out of touch with those prices too, if you think iPhones are much more expensive...

You probably need to compare the iPhone 6 to the G3 LTE-A, or rather the G4, if you want to compare like for like.

LG G3 LTE-A : http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_g3_lte_a-6520.php

I skipped this because it is not dual sim, and because it doesn't support Cell C's 900MHz HSDPA. Apart from that it is better than the iPhone 6+ in every way.

So what is the cash price for an iPhone 6+ 64GB ? Was R18 000 at one point, probably somewhat less now.

Well obviously I'm about as amateur as it gets. Point -> wait a few seconds to refocus -> click. I can just about handle exposures. I just wanted to get some decent food pics.

I wasn't pointing fingers at you ;)

There's no denying iPhones have great cameras - perfect for what you wanted it for.

Over inflated black market import price.
