I've looked into these watches, IMO none of them are ready for prime-time yet. Maybe in 2016.
BTW, I bought a ZTE Nubia Z7 Max dual sim, similar to Xiaomi.
Great phone, but still a bit too Chinese, don't know if the Xiaomi is also like that.
May need to get CM11 on there.

No, was commenting on the state of this thread in general. I look at all the comments and think "wow, that used to be me".
Yeah, I think they're all still some ways off which makes buying these first generation devices a no-no.
I do, though, think that Apple got more right with their balance of fashion and function but a device that doesn't have dedicated GPS is a pretty hard sell for something marketed as fitness friendly.

The Apple myth must be the worst counters any Android favourer could ever use, especially in an iPhone thread. Please consider stopping being such suckers for the bait.
When you consider that iPhones are only 10% more expensive than others, and that the 10% is more than made up for when it comes to having higher resale value, it is clear who has more money to burn.

Nope, it's more like 50% to 100% more.
I just paid about R7000 for a LG G3 32GB Dual Sim with a 1440 x 2560 pixels (~534 ppi pixel density) display, and has a memory slot for up to 128GB card.
5.5" display, so similar to iPhone 6+
Don't think your maths works.
Edit : My sister bought a Samsung S5 from Kalahari for R5500 a few weeks ago.

The cheap chinese phones are like samsungs, promise all kinds of stuff but dont deliver anything special.
After many years I have an iphone again and while Im not an apple fan it is a great phone.

IMO the iPhones are nice phones, but they are way too expensive and lack important features (dual sim slots, no SD card slot, iTunes is a disincentive, etc).
So no, I wouldn't buy one, and would sell it if someone gave me one.
My present priority list would be :
1) Note 4 Dual Sim (but too expensive)
2) LG G3 Dual Sim
3) Samsung S5 Dual Sim
4) LG G3 LTE-A Prime (Only 4) because not Dual Sim)
5) iPhone 6+ (too expensive, and too limited)
I use 2) the LG G3 Dual Sim at the moment, with a 64GB memory card (plus the standard 32GB).
Quite happy.

Not sure, but it would be preferable I would think. The Chinese menus remind me of MIUI, which I actually liked.
Think you summed up the Apple vs. Android fanbois war quite aptly.
When the on-contract cost differences are minimal to zero, it really is a myth. Though, equally, the higher resale value factor is equally mythical, considering that is it not a point of consideration for most buyers, especially in their biggest market (the US).
