ISP Copyright infringement warning email

Too late, Google has already picked up this conversation where you're promoting piracy. The mods are going to ban you

With a name like Computer Hut, I can believe they went all Jabba on OP for downloading movies.

Nothing will happen legally, as they dont have jurisdiction here.

ISP on the other hand might tell you to piss off from their network.

Yeah not gonna happen. Computer Slut is a small ISP and they will not want to lose customers.

I have checked their region and this ISP has sole monopoly in their area and they can not change to a more chilled ISP.
If they don't use a lot of bandwidth on their fibre and there's LTE in the area...

Suggest MTN LTE if there, great home packages prices and no contract needed (but watch out for the krap soft cap throttle speed).

I am surprised the mods haven't deleted this thread yet where My Broad Band members are openly discussing piracy. This would never have happened in the old days when rpm was still running this gig

So now you're being serious?
Let's pretend you are - where's the piracy, how do you determine that? For starters no URL has been offered.

Good day
My little sister has received an email from her ISP who forwarded her an email from an agent representing Paramount Global companies CBS Broadcasting Inc. She downloaded a series episodes for my mother from a torrenting site and they picked it up.

XoXo

@UB40 , quite a bit of source material is offered free in places. Who's to say that wasn't then placed on a torrent site?

At best you could argue geo-location, but so far it doesn't end up in court.
Unless you have a link that suggests otherwise?

Still, better to be on the side of caution, agree with that.

Yeah I see XXX movies like "Crustacean Cock Crunchers (A woman in a crab suit porno) marked in red when I search my IP on there.

It wasn't me who downloaded that though, weird.
Weird that they mixed up our IP's.

Did some strong research on the subject a few months back, general consensus seems to be;

1. Torrents are generally considered a danger area re prosecution, but no court cases seen mentioned
2. Standard streaming is considered structurally legal under all conditions
3. Standard downloads are a grey area, supposes that distribution is then possible but it's never been taken to court
In South Africa they only seem to prosecute if you are the original uploader.... of Multichoice content

Yay the denial is over and he's finally admitting this is a duplicate account, what was your original nick @UB40?
Don't be shy big guy, we don't judge on Mybb

I have 3 alt accounts plus this one spread out over 4 pc's on different internet connections. You must be smart in these days, trust no one, don't get caught phishing like @harryhcs did

What's scary is a site like iknowwhatyoudownload. Wouldn't want to torrent without a VPN.
It's scary at how inaccurate it is. I torrent lots of Linux distros without vpn and it never picks up what I DL accurately at all. Suppose that's dynamic ip?

Which of the 3 is the oldest account?
