ISP Praise Wall !!!

Axxess - thanks!

Activated new Axxess prepaid line in March R139 p.m., bought prepaid voucher R70 also. Only managed to get round to activating it in August! But everything worked first time. Helpline person was very kind. Good so far

hearing such good things about afrihost lately :) still tempted to change ....
 
I've gone from Telkom dial-up, to WDSL (Uninetwork/Klear) and never experienced such TERRIBLE service.

Now I'm with GConnect on a 4MB line and all I can say is....WOW!

The service is incredible; I have actually never in my life experienced such brilliant customer service. It can be 2am, or 5am, 2pm or 8am - they're always there and will always help - and if they can't they'll go wake someone up who can help!

Keep it up you lot....the rest will have to take lessons from you!

I've been struggling to get feedback from Cybersmart wrt their billing. Their 18 response time is almost double now and not a word.

well for obvious reason that mostly this section sees the light of what went wrong, how bad it was and how angry we are - nothing wrong with laying down your complaint, but its necessary to also give praise to that isp and the person(s) involved whom have sorted, helped or done something for you which was above average and made you pause and say wow they rock !

what ?

well, isp and person(s) involved, what they have done and why you are praising them :)

each time, this is not a once of *poof* we gone, when they did it and you want to praise - pop in here and lay it down !

Afrihost, WOW!

it took only an hour to activate my Afrihost account from the time i sent the application online to the time i could enter the password i my router!
now, thats service! and during the weekend!

i applied to Afrihost because i'm still waiting for my application from DigiChilli to arrive and their site is still down and i'm out of bandwidth!

Now i'm locked in at R29/ GB for life...or until i give them 30 days notice! :)

Afrihost, thanks for making the leap in providing us with cheap GB's while not lacking in the service dept.!

Axxess - Thanks for the cheap saix local bandwidth and offering it in both prepaid and month to month flavours! Cancelling the month to month was a dream (unlike my experiences with WebAfrica)

Digichilli: Thanks for the twitter competition in which I won a mild uncapped account!! Sure the DNS settings gave me grief and the HTTP international speeds need some work (download managers ftw) but I'm sure you're hard at work to get it fixed! If there weren't any glitches when launching such great products, I'd be worried! There's always crap somewhere on a lawn! :p I absolutely LOVE having uncapped for the first time in my life! You rock! And please, I beg of you, ignore the childish comments on the forum and don't let the sour ones scare you away. It means a lot to some forumites incl myself to have ISP reps on the forum, that's what it's here for!!! Good luck with the remaining glitches!

Was about to cancel with SAOL and move to Digichilli, then SAOL came out with the uncapped option, have had the MOST EXCELLENT service from SAOL since then, was given a test account to try out the uncapped solution, and when I decided to move to it today, was sorted out within 1 hour via email, didn't even have to phone in!! Brilliant and convenient service!!!

edit: never told them I was about to move away from them, so it was not preferential treatment to keep a customer....
 
This goes against everything I stand for but Telkom Do + Afrihost is epic win.
It took me 4 working days to get online since I placed a self install order from Telkom and Afrihost is quick when it comes to deliveriong the goods.

Highly recommend this combo.
