Saw some guy advertising ITNT in another thread so decided to check it out.

They are selling IS-based capped accounts at the moment for R1/gig, so thought it was worth a try.

Signed up for the 10GB package to test with, payment is by credit card (using vcs). Activation was instant.

Speeds are basically the same as any other IS account (WebAfrica, Plugg ,etc) so far.

Will test during the day, see if anything goes awry with my budget account :D

Wow am I missing something here? R200 for 200GB of data.

That is R199 cheaper than Afrihost, R179 cheaper than Axxess, R439 cheaper than Vox Fatpipe and +- R199 cheaper than Webafrica...

They are by far the cheapest for adsl capped data and R1 for 1GB Top Up makes it even better.....

Wow, that is the dream right there. Been waiting for R1 a gig for years.

It will be quite nice when ISP's can do R1 a gig sustainably.

That is bonkers cheap....

There has to be some kind of catch, or some part of the network has to be shyte...

Sound very interesting . Sometimes a game changer is coming into the market . I remmember Afrihost with 29R per GB (which actually MADE Afrihost . Maybe they are a game changers maybe not .

I don't see this as being a game changer tbh...

We have a rough idea of what bandwidth actually costs, and its more than R1 per gig in this country... so these guys are obviously banking on people buying more than they need and not using all of it.

Yes it must be like a uncapped type model just with capped data. It can work until the downloaders get onboard then it wont last long.

Precisely this..

I am considering the 200GB account, purely to burn through a bit of data to get some of my stuff up to date without having to hurt my uncapped account (even though that as an uncapped unshaped portion as well, just don't want to use it for this type of thing)

I don't see where the risk is to try . If your line is with Telkom , your e-mail is with Google . If they are good ... good , not good ...next:)

Seriously? I could cut my data costs by a third if this lasts. Feedback would be great.

Sigh.

* All Monthly Capped DSL Packages are running on a promotion until 31 December 2014, at which point the offer will be revised or extended.

I'll see what their pricing is after their promo period. By the time I give notice it won't be worth the hassle.

Yes the card proccessor is vcs.co.za which is a 3rd party provider so no chance of your card getting compromised. Its actually used by a couple of ISP's.

In theory, you could get a R10 account then auto top up in 1GB increments so effectively pay as you use? So only when you start getting to big GB numbers does the ISP start making money?

Well the account is legit. I signed up for the 25gb package and the account got instantly created. Its a capped account and you are able to login to the IS usage tracker but they got their own usage portal for topups and account upgrades which is not bad at all.

The account works @ line speed. So the account checks out just wonder whats the story behind the price. If there is none the its a no brainer Im making it my primary account.

Unless IS knows something we don't this pricing is simply not sustainable. I suspect we are 1 or 2 sizeable IPC price cuts away from this being doable.

With that being said, once wholesale prices drop to near R2 a gig underuse on the 100+ gig accounts is going to be phenomenal, allowing for sizeable price cuts down to R1 a gig.

This almost seems a bit silly, get an uncapped account only to limit YOURSELF.

As for this ITNT account, gotta try it!

That is one flippin big loss leader right there.

Can anyone confirm whether these okes are part of the IS group? Bit of googling suggests its a legit company, just can't figure out the IS part.

Thinking I'll sign up for a 150gb for next month.
