There is no way of knowing if its true or not. They gave themselves a nice convenient window by saying it could take 10 days to restore water.

Mine is still available, but I had done what I could with my limited resources, a 25 litre bucket and two 5 litre bottles for drinking and cooking, some 10l for other stuff and hopefully what's already in the geyser stays in the geyser.

It's an inconvenience but on the other hand I am glad that Rand Water is still doing the amount of maintenance they are doing.

Still no water and the power went off at about 3:40 am over a wide area...

Still had water this morning when brushing my teeth and wetting my hair, but I did notice a drop in pressure though.

They should have opened the valves now again at the reservoirs I believe so hopefully Parkhurst comes out of this without ever having gone without water.

Yeah, if the maintenance has been completed reservoirs should start getting filled and full pressure return in a few days.
