The ANC do it and they have a good story to tell. Rather have no one do the work than a white who can.
Shame.

But often forgotten(read ignored) is that next to that entrance was another one with black only/coloured only/non-whites only... rather odd that adverts for 'black only' don't trigger the sensitives the same way![]()

True, but I am not convinced that it is about this at all. There are many jobs / functions that have operational requirements for a person of a particular gender or race. Otherwise we'd have male cops searching female suspects, and black undercover close protection agents in Helsinki.
This whole thing has been blown out of proportion.
In this instance, what's the difference between a black person raised in a white household and a white person?
Probably nothing, however I haven't seen the actual job spec (has anyone here?), so my opinion on this specific use case is worthless.
Odd that you don't see anything wrong with the ad, but you are against BEE. It must be really difficult to hide you true colours everyday in SA. You can't tell the natives off as you really want to anymore.
Exactly.
This ad is no different to the ad in this topic. Equally racist. You can give preference to BEE candidates as and when you have to, but it's wrong to say other races should not apply. What if there are no BEE candidates, will you just leave the position open and then the job don't get done?
So what sort of viewership can one expect for a show that only caters to 1.7m people? who will actually watch a quarter of that? yeah makes sense.
So English speaking South Africans are the top earners in SA?That target market is also in the upper echelon of earners in SA. So an advertisement in that slot will cost more than an advertisement on SABC for a show that is watched by 10 million.
And then you want to call others crybabies.
+100 That's exactly my point. A point which the comarade brigade fail to see.Odd that you don't see anything wrong with the ad, but you are against BEE. It must be really difficult to hide you true colours everyday in SA. You can't tell the natives off as you really want to anymore.

M-Net says it has fired Ambit Recruitment over the "abhorrent advertisement", with Ambit Recruitment that according to M-Net, subcontracted Kandhi Consulting without M-Net's permission or knowledge.
"Qur recruitment agency has advised us that it did not mandate the sub-contracted agency to word the advert in this racist manner."
Sabotage?
Junior staff member?

I think in many cases where you specify bee it's sort of implied that you are wasting your time if you are not of the bee designation. Looking at it from a different angle maybe it helps people not to waste their time applying.
Yes in many cases the post remains vacant, especially in gov jobs as we've seen in numerous court cases in the past where they will not appoint a non-bee candidate with the required skills and experience.
A late friend of mine worked for a private civils company, someone resigned and he's acting in that position (advertised as bee) for quite a while. He applied for the position but his boss said 'sorry, bee only we need our bee compliance as we do mostly gov contracts'. They eventually appointed a bee guy and he had to train/mentor the guy for like 6 months or something stupid like that, needless to say he was not happy.
OK I don't know what sort of time frame this is, but don't you think that's poor planning on the companies side they know what they need why didn't did they not have a contingency plan for this?
