The same goes with any ISP , not only Vodacom. I bought a bundle of 20GB, oops I only used 10gb this month....the ISP eats up the rest
Cool. But he did say this.

Just out of curiosity, why are you banging this particular drum so zealously? I'm all for consumer right advocacy, but Vodacom's data bundle policy wouldn't be top of my list.
I'm still not convinced Vodacom's 30 day expiration terms are inherently unfair, unreasonable, or unjust, but section 48 of the CPA is so broad that a case could certainly be made for it.
FTFYTaking what is not rightfully yours ie. buying known time based allocations and then representing that the seller has given you a deficient product, is unfair and dishonest.
Bookish theoric.
It's theoric. From Chaucer. It's a synecdoche for textual knowledge detached from reality.
Rightful owner of EXACTLY what? What did the "rightful owner" purchase?Reality: rightful ownership unfairly removed = theft = crime

Go check up on the law of property and get yourself a coherent concept of ownership etc ...
Be very careful before using the term theft for depravation of a service outside of electricity ....

Selective wording in your reply. EXACTLY what does the data bundle state?Uhm, a service called data bundle?
Data is a service; airtime is a service. Airtime don't expire, why does data? And no, I don't need a degree in bandwidth to know when I'm being taken for a ride.

No need to discuss spectrum etc. as it is irrelevant. The MNOs offer a product with a limited lifespan. The consumer purchases this product fully aware of the lifespan. Where's the problem? You appear to be the clever one, enrich me with your expertise how data is purchased in advance and cannot be stored and capacity planning and blah blah blah.
