Got it. Thanks for all the help guys
One last request, my folks have an HD PVR and they said their remote isn't fast forwarding. I took a look and sure enough, pushing to the right mostly does nothing (now and then it'll FF for a second and then stop). Could that be down to a setting (haven't used the PVR much) or is it time for a new controller. Damn thing is only 6 months old or so.

You DO know that it will only forward if you're behind the live feed? In other word if you didn't pause or rewind then you cannot fast forward. Thats akin to you wanting to speed up time to an event that hasn't happened yet.
I hope I make sense because I lolled IRL while typing![]()
Try tapping it to the right a couple of times and then holding it inNot wanting to ruin the great LOL but I'm talking about recorded programs, not live stuff![]()

I tried tapping and holding. Spent a good few minutes trying everything really. It's strange because it's quite new and the rewind seems to work fine.

Hirsch's Online store also seem to have it for R3499.
Any idea what is the normal price at Game?
If it is R4499, then the price beat would be R100 on R3499 = R3399.
My wife manged to break that same button on our remote same story rewind worked but not on Fast forward, just bought a replacement remote (think it was an elies one) from Pick and pay (was about R80) with a proper rewind and fast forward buttons not the switch type one it comes with.
Hi guys,
I'm going to buy a tv tomorrow.
Here are my two options:
1. PS51D450 for R6499
2. 47LK530 for R6999
I know the LG is smaller but is FHD.
Samsung is bigger but HD ready.
I dont have a BLuRay player and intend to use the TV for DSTV and Xbox gaming.
Your input would be appreciated!
FHD TV only counts if you use it with FHD devices. Its not really going to impress with a SD DSTV decoder (I assume) and no Bluray. Most XBOX games are 720p (although you can force to 1080p) so this probably wont make a difference.I know the LG is smaller but is FHD.
Definitely the Samsung plasma
Then in my opinion, the 47" LG will provide a superior native 1080i HDPVR picture. With your TV set up correctly, the DSTV HD picture and that of a Bluray disc are almost identical (& seriously good).I have HDPVR with a 42 Plasma HD Ready

Nonsense, the D450 doesnt have the resolution to display a HDPVR's native 1080i picture (but you know this). Will never match the sharpness/crispness of a 1080p TV running in 1:1 pixel mapping mode.Handles ... HD PVR/DSTV better.
