Let's talk Cologne

I bought these 2 recently, very nice:

Hugo Boss - Bottled Beyond
Invictus - Old favorite of mine.

I was gonna try Tom Ford too but got swinged by the Hugo Boss its really good.

It seems TF can be weird like that, I've also had subpar longevity experiences with some of their stuff. One was Ombre Leather Parfum and it would totally disappear right after application and then magically reappear when the dry down made it’s entrance and then it was amazing. I thought I had been sold a lemon/bottle was stale but all the testers at the fragrance counters were the exactly same.

But you'd hope a TF oud would at least last an eternity?!
The YSL M7 that TF designed in his time with YSL is a beast, Armani Stronger with You Oud that I got quite recently is a beast due to the Oud, its so strong that when sprayed on clothes even the day after application it can be like a punch in the face when sniffing it. Most Oud even if synthetic seem to be beasts.

When I got my first Dubai ones I wanted this but said I'll get it later. At the time it was around R200 now its sitting most places around R400 :( waiting for it to drop a bit more

Stronger range is insane, lasts forever, I've got a bottle of stronger absolutely and like you said you'll smell it for days. Much better than Eros flame imo.

YSL is lovely too, although I've been wearing Ralph Lauren New York club instead of it for a daily driver change up.

The note breakdown on that looks very interesting, what notes actually come through in practice?
The longevity looks stellar, which is always vital if you actually want to enjoy something

Longevity is ok on the edp, its got a great fresh creamy slightly spicy citrus open, dry down is ok. Its like a smoother more citrusy YSLY.

Bottle is cool AF though. My 2nd favorite after AZ Most wanted.
