I have owned all Galaxy products up to the Note 3. S5 was the first I skipped on.
1. Screen on the G3 is better than any Sammy I had.
2. Camera seems to be better.
3. Love the buttons being on the back. Took a small while to get used to them, but now I can't imagine being without them.

Otherwise much of a muchness. I would go G3 though.

Size? I have not yet held the G3, so I don't know if the size might be an issue. The size of the Galaxy S4 is already borderline uncomfortable.

Also the G3 is rather big, I wonder if it would be too big for my mom, she currently has the BB Z10

And the S5 records at 1080P @60FPS compared to the G3's 1080P @30FPS.

Kindly confirm whether or not it comes with dropbox promotion deal ?

For my needs Dropbox is a deal breaker because i took advantage of the 48gig when the sammy s3 came out.
The last time i researched the G3 it came with 50 GB Box storage instead of Dropbox

At this point I am biased towards dropbox having only tried GoogleDrive as an alternative and got burned.

Using 'bush mathematics' to arrive at the deal breaking value for money:
I would have to for out $10 per month for the next two years to replace the storage space.
That is about $240 or roughly R2500 of value.

It comes with Box pre-installed.
 
Got the g3 a few days back and must say it is awesome. I am still playing around with, camera is crisp. The device doesnt feel big in my hands at all.

Does the screen double-tap feature work if you change the launcher?
 
Got my G3 yesterday evening. Extremely happy thus far.
 
The rear buttons are really a put off for me, Without them its the perfect phone.
