14th - 2 and 1/4 hour outage

Got sh**ed upon this morning at 11am. Wynberg, Cape Town.

Shopping at Constantia Village without power was sort of fun (in a sick society way). ;)

Makes me think what a misnomer "Brightwater Commons" is....
 
We have just been load shedded in Edenvale. Where is the electricity when you need it.
 
I am quite surprised that all the "if you don't like it, leave" people have not been here to say what a whinger I am.

Maybe they have finally seen the light (pun not intended), or perhaps they have been loadshedded and are unable to post.

Or perhaps, they just don't care anymore, either.
 
Yay I get off early, arrive home, and five minutes later we've been load shedded!

And yesterday we were cut off twice. FFS it was a Sunday, most big businesses were closed! :mad:
 
I would say that Reactor 2 at Koeberg has been shut down.

Now the long wait, apparently 3 to 4 months for it's restart before we can breath in this part of the world.
One Reactor off at Koeberg means 900MW missing from the Local Grid and with capacity constraints up in Gauteng we will be on the back foot for the next few months imho.

Most parts of Bloemfontein have been experiencing load shedding for the best part of the day! Damit Eskom! In the very near future I see everyone with generators like in Nigeria. This damn African sheite is getting to me. I mean come on! Load shedding in 5 o'clock traffic.

I see from their "schedule" which BTW I've only been able to access now since we were load shedded from 6pm to 8:30pm that ESKOM will only guarantee electricity between 8:30am and 10am and again after 10:30pm for my area. This of course renders their "schedule" useless

FFS how are you supposed to live like this??? Darkest Africa indeed :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

and a chance of going down at 10pm again :(

REALLY - ESKOM - GROW UP!
 
Yet another jolly time in Hatfield this afternoon.

All the traffic lights were out - thanks to Eskom
