Hi All.

I've finally managed to find a Logitech Harmony 1100 remote, only to realize afterwards that the RF receiver is sold separately.

Does anyone know where I can get this from?

I've tried the following suppliers already:

  1. Sybaritic
  2. Web Antics
  3. Bid or Buy
  4. Esquire
  5. Retail suppliers don't have stock of the remote, let alone the extender!
  6. Various other websites which I can't remember!

I've managed to get the PS3 adapter from Loot.co.za (which was apparently the last one!), but I would really love the extender.

I've been looking a lot at eBay.com, however the reasonably priced ones are used, and it would be a gamble with regards to Warranty as well as the amount which customs will charge - I was burnt once before when I ordered a fragrance from abroad.

I would greatly appreciate some assistance or information of any kind.

Thanks!

What is your setup that you need to use an RF extender? I have a Hamony One that I use to control my plasma, dstv and amp without any receiver. The purpose of the RF extender is to allow you to keep all your equipment hidden behind a cabinet OR in another room that is far away - similar to how a remote blaster works.

If this is not your setup then you do not require an RF Extender.

Hi Ice...

I've got a standard setup, but want the RF extender as I don't want to be pointing the remote in the direction of my devices while it sends multiple signals from the Macros I will configure.
The other thing is that I have a coffee table in-between my couch and the TV cabinet, which, depending on the device I need to control, is quite awkward to point either under or over the table.

I'd also like to use it control my PVR from my upstairs bedroom.

Ive never seen the extender sold in stores and im not having much success finding a reputable online seller that has stock. You might be better off importing it from amazon?

This company claims to have stock but now sure if theyre any good : http://www.webantics.co.za/viewItem.aspx?idProduct=13795

EDIT: just realized u already tried webantics so ure best bet is to look at importing im afraid.

Hey ToxicBunny,

Just checked out MyUS, looks fantastic.
Have you ever used it before?

Thanks for the suggestion...
Not too bad for the standard account with just a $10 once-off fee.

Never used it before because I've never been so desperate for a specific type of product that i had to import it...

I usually come up with a plan.

Aah ok...

Hehe. In my case, no one in SA has stock! I've also just found out the remote I have ordered (Harmony 1100i) does not have RF capability.
Now I also need to find a 1100 remote :(

Thanks Ghost... I'll have a look.
Also possibly looking at Buying from Amazon using MyUS. I'll have to check and weigh up the costs of each one.
I also wanna make sure that items are new (there's a lot of refurbished deals out there) and come with a full 1 year warranty.

Hey dudes...

Just FYI, I received my shipment from MyUS last Thursday.
It took TWO DAYS to get to my door from the US.

I say again, TWO DAYS to get to my house, not just to SA.

I would definitely recommend them, I was blown away, and shipping wasn't that bad.
