LTE and Mobile Data

I need to travel around SA and will need internet for streaming Can I get LTE (not Fixed) and if LTE is not available will the router use 3G. If so who it the best provider to use. Also what router would you recommend.

Actually i think rain works okay with mifi devices in metro areas. Its the 'burbs that are overloaded now cos everyone is at home.

So I would say try rain cautiously. I think there is a 7 day trial or something. When it does work, it is good bang for your buck. When it doesnt work, its miserable.

LTE vs Fixed LTE

Whats the difference between these 2? I'm guessing fixed normally has a wifi/LTE router connected to a directional antenna that's pointing to a base station whereas for normal you can use a MiFi device? Is that why the ISP's site coverage maps have different footprints for the 2?

Generally all routers fallback to 3g. Rain is a 4g/LTE network. they do not have a 3G, GSM, etc service like the others.

That is what I thought regarding Routers and 3G. Rain would not be and option as I would not always be near metro's or LTE networks. I would therefore have to get Mobile Data which for some reason is vastly more expensive that fixed LTE.
