Switch the router off and on again.

Can take up to 72hours to have it RICA'd.

Some guys had theirs working out of the box, others waited up to 2 days.

My issue now lies that Telkom delivered to my home address when I told them my work addy.

My mother collected on my behalf without handing any documents to the courier other than HER ID instead of mine.

What a mess up, I phoned CourierIT who delieverd and they said it's fine as long as they see it was delivered to the correct address as "proof of residence"

I had my ID copy and Proof of Res ready for them and they went to my house -_-
 
At least someone was on site to take delivery :)..

If they had done that to me, nobody would have been around.

Yeah but now I'm worried cause mom gave her ID against what's on record...Mine...so what if RICA fails :(
 
Lol they delivered it to my workplace instead of my house. Luckily I had to come today. So I received everything and In terms of the setup, is it "plug & play" just insert sim and everything is ready to go? I haven't had time to open it yet and look around etc etc.

Mines all working at home :D Getting around 44Mbps/7Mbps Up.

Steam downloading around 5MBps. Done nearly 10Gb in around 20 mins.

How uncapped is this thing? That's my worry.

Has this Uncapped thing rocked up in your Telkom portal yet on your account? I'm waiting for that to happen before I cancel the ADSL line I still have....

Yeah its showing my various accounts in my telkom portal.. automatically added

lol, than just goto a telkom shop and they will fax documents through.
 
Ok cool they phoned me today. Not in the coverage area but signed up with my sisters address as I am indeed getting lte from that tower . Did the tests with a telkom sim in my meizu m2 note and tower id is identical.

Completed the application and used my alternative delivery address. As soon as I'm up and running I will just update my address.

Waiting for debit order to go through and then delivery of the modem and activation..... If the speeds are the same or more than my 10Mbps adsl line I will cancel my adsl line.

btw I filled in the application on the 1st of December 2015 and only got called today 28 December 2015..... What a huge delay....

Got a SMS today. Pre approved and debit of R599 will be pushed tonight. :)

To cover for weekends if they phone you on a Friday pretty much... and also to just cover if the DO run is delayed.
 
Just had the okes rock up for the antenna installation...

They couldn't really make a difference to the speed so they've left it, but at least I know where the towers are now so you can do the installation myself in the future.
 
Eish! Not a single DO went off today (FNB) anyone else with the same problem? My third day today....
 
Same thing happened to me. Got ticket number post online application and the promise of a call to cross the t's and dot the i's. A long dead silence, so I called. Agent took all my details but could not give me a reference number. However soon received a SMS that my account will be debited with the R599 fee within 3 business days. Nothing happened so I called again. No trace of my online application so I went into a try and find the elusive online application without success. I was advised to fill in a new application which will cost me R100 pm extra as the application was done in-store and the 'special' was only available through an online application. I took the hardware and must say that I am trilled with the speeds I am getting. I am waiting for the antenna installation. Till today, not a word from Telkom regarding my online application. I am now trying to get them to them to charge me the online rate and opened a ticket for them to 'investigate' what happened to my online application
 
I called 10210 on Monday and spoke to Patrick who said he would pass my details onto the sales team. Got called by the sales team on Tuesday and yesterday I received an sms saying my account will be debited within 3 days. I got debited last night. This is not a smooth process..... made my online application on the 10th and I am sure if I didnt call nothing would have happened.
