LucidView mobile uncapped feedback

I was told by Kamilla at Lucid View that SIM's will be activated from 12PM.. That info came from Mandy..

Its now almost 1:30PM and still not working.. terrible service..

She did agree its easier to contact them than to contact Mandy :(
 
Make that 12 calls and still no one that can help me activate my simcard......
 
No compensation (free bandwidth)or followup from the company representative which is ridiculous!


So much news has been published about this company in the media about their product offering but who actually tested first-hand to report back on their findings.

Finally got through to her and she said they are waiting on MTN to activate the simcard...... After that they need to send another request to MTN to provision me for use of their apn...... Then after that I will be able to use their apn......

Afrihost = world class getting this right from the word go, jumping from one department to another department
 
Um, my sim card has network... So now I'm waiting for the APN to be provisioned? So what's that? Another 3 days?
 
Me: 'Sim can not connect to network but seems to be activated, also changed APN.'
LucidView: 'I'm waiting upon MTN to send me all the new numbers which will be assigned to the sim cards.'
Me: 'How long will that be?'
LucidView: 'I don't know how long its going to take sir, sorry.'

They informed my that a SMS will be sent with my number. The number is required by LV to provision their APN onto it....RICA, she confirmed, will not be necessary, it wiLl automitically clear when the SMS arrives..logic, however, informs me the SMS won't be sent unless RICA is complied with...

She also said should be able start using the apn from tomorrow.
 
Yes she also called me. I got network now but its not working cause its rica barred..... I will try and rica myself cause I am able to rica simcards online since I'm a rica agent.... :-) will see if the registration goes through.

I also phoned her earlier and told her its unacceptable that its taking so long when I have already paid for the service.... She told me since they use MTN as their ISP they is relying on MTN to work with them but its not happening at the speed they wanted..... So I guess I gave her a break cause it seems the main delay is with MTN
