LucidView mobile uncapped feedback

Ohhhhh yeah I have successfully rica'd my own simcard..... It took about 50min but got all the sms and is now actived..... :D
 
Yes she also called me. I got network now but its not working cause its rica barred..... I will try and rica myself cause I am able to rica simcards online since I'm a rica agent.... :-) will see if the registration goes through.

I also phoned her earlier and told her its unacceptable that its taking so long when I have already paid for the service.... She told me since they use MTN as their ISP they is relying on MTN to work with them but its not happening at the speed they wanted..... So I guess I gave her a break cause it seems the main delay is with MTN

Ok, changed APN? So is it working?
 
No its now activated.... I can now make calls and send sms and got my phone number.... Sadly the only internet and myMTN apn is working. I still need to find out what the apn is for lucidview and I would imagine they need to provision my sim for the apn first.....

I have R37.10 airtime and 19sms on my Topup 50 contract.... Hmmm I noticed that on the page I received that its a 6 month MTN top up contract. I hope lucid view to lock me into that contract since I did not sign that MTN page....

This service looks exactly like afrihost service. Lucidview has a apn that only works with MTN contracts that is why they send you a contract sim that will work with their apn... So they send the cheapest MTN contract to you just so you can have it enabled for the apn.

Yeah you would have to rica it on your own or have to wait maybe Mandy from MTN will decide to rica it tomorrow or when ever she gets a "chance"......

If you feel comfortable I could always rica it for you guys now or you need to wait until they decide to rica it or you guys can pop into a edgars or mtn store to rica it.....
 
asked cavedog to rica for me , hopefully it gives a jump start.

Will email tarryn when i have number linked to my sim card so she can activate the apn.

+1 I hope all the efford is worth something atleast or I will not be renewing the service....
 
Me thinks we'll be filing our cancellations, might be proved otherwise, but skeptical.
 
Many irate customers in the making already, too many hiccups from the word go! Very unprofessional from a company that has had a lot of media exposure, too many hurdles, logistic issues to blame probably
 
Afrihost has raised the bar, look how well they handled the mobile launch.
Unless the data service is what you wanted then this offering from Lucidview should be given a pass!
 
Well Im using the sim card now but with the mtn apn so basically paying the mtn data bundle rate.... Still waiting for the apn details and my number to be activated for it....... Sigh tried to phone terryn at lucidview but she is unavailable once again. She is in a meeting apparantly and will only be available in 2 hours time.....
 
She's probably getting training on how to deal with current problems.

What type of company/owner decides to remove the one only capable employee, to meetings, when there are pressing client matters to resolve..! Good Lord, these guys are just something else...
