LucidView mobile uncapped feedback

I'm also wondering if LTE will work on the sim.... :)

Called them today twice, this guy promised to call me back, nothing. Quite shady.

Same here, no definitive answers resulted from my enquiries today - not a very healthy first impression. Even their TOS changed, and that's before the product is delivered.

It would be in lucidview's best interest to show vested interest in these threads and quell the issues we highlight. A Google search on lucidview results in these threads appearing near the top, this serves to illustrate mybroadband's effect out there. I hope their network delivers, otherwise the brand will get hammered, not the publicity any company wants - just giving them the heads-up in case they reading this.

Hoping for an otherwise tenable relationship with them.

Things going south quickly even before it being tested.

One issue I'll have to sort out when I get the sim is to make the sim work in a Vodacom 3G dongle. I think it is a huwaei dongle. Any suggestions on how to make it work? I know the dongle is not network lock but I suspect I'll have to instal some MTN software...
Not sure what to do.

Don't know if things changed...
Dealt with them a few years ago. We ran their Guardian devices.
Support was not the quickest (very knowledgeable and skilled techies though.)

Let's see how this pan out.

i just received a call from a woman called mandy.

she said she was from mtn direct , and said they had some issue with sim cards etc.

She also gave me her number to call her directly when i get the sim card so she can activate it.

As well, she asked me if there's always someone at my residence, said it should be on it's way tomorrow.

Did also receive a call from mandy from mtn and will get my sim tomorrow..... I also need to call her to activate once I got it....

Well I was told just to supply a copy of my id to the drive that delivers my sim.....

I wont be home tomorrow( somebody will through) , but i have a copy of my i.d and a copy of proof of residence at home , hope they will give it to the person at home.

Cant wait to test it , but i am not holding my breath , but maybe they surprise us :p

I think they will deliver the sim to a 3rd party, She did mention that to me. I'm cautiously excited for this product :D

I see they have updated the website AGAIN!!!!!

They also offer the same thing via the APN for existing MTN contract customers...... Nice addon for a existing contract. looks like it works the same as afrihost mobile....

I guess the extra R50 airtime won't count if you use it on your existing contract then..... If this product works well then I actually will consider using this with a MTN contract.

I guess If I can get equal or better than 10GB - 15GB a month with decent speeds it would be cool cause then its well in line with afrihost.

If its too slow then its better to just buy afrihost cap which has no speed restriction.
