Just had to show :D
It has taken me 5 months and over 30 PuGs to finally get the right team:
But he is done and over with :cool:

Sorry for those that whispered me in-game and might not have gotten replies from me.
After this i can now relax and take the game a little more easy.

Considering all my PuG teams failed in NM - I never chanced it in HM so stayed with NM.
We ran:
5 - Ursans (all Rank 10 except 1 who was rank 4)
Me - CS for Mallyx's Spirits
2 - Monks UA (they never even had to use UA)
We use the full consets also.

So who ever said Ursan Mallyx was nerfed, I'm not sure what they ment cause it works pretty well ~ Mallyx took about 10 minutes to kill and no one died with the 18 groups before him.
 
Was thinking of doing it spiritway in NM as I have completed the first two areas in DoA with Double Sabway and a friend who played a normal archer build.

Was the Mallyx area a lot harder than the other areas?
 
Congrats

He is the only boss left for me in GW, but yes getting the right team is difficult especially pug. Would love to finish Mallyx:(

First off thanks all :)

Ye Devill the 18 groups before Mallyx ain't that hard, most PuGs dont fail on those groups.
It's Mallyx himself, thats where they all fail!
People use enchantments (Mallyx uses a disable skill and mostly on the monks which = no healing / rezing)
Find people using Hexs on him also = 300 health healing from Mallyx

I strongly recommend 5 Ursans (any class will do)
1 Consume Spirit - taking the effects off that occurs in the room of Mallyx helped the other players out alot!
2 Monks ~ the norm (a must have)

If you cant get 5 Ursans dont take:
Assassins (permas/normal) they fail
Mesmers
Rangers

But he is alot easier compared to like Foundary if you have the right team!

Mmmm I think ill read up on his skills as general groeps in DoA and even large ones are killed pretty easily on NM with spiritway.

But if not im sure I will be able to get 4 other ursan and 2 monks + someone with consume spirit :)

Ah i need only 15k more ursan points then all my eotn titles barring master of the north is done :D

Hmm so that's 5 Speedbook runs :p
I'm thinking about charging now for Speedbooking tbh
Some players charge 4k per book (normal going price it seems)
Reckon I'll go in @ 2k per book.
It aint that well known yet ~ so wanna try max my titles before Anet changes something i.e. you need 9 HM mission to hand in book
Will gladly run it for you!

In general I only take like 4 other players with me
Only cause you have to do the mission:
A Time for Heroes.
I need 3 monks to bond me so that leaves 4 slots open.
The other 2 missions = 7 slots open
I could take 7 players but means I have to do A Time for Heroes twice which makes speedbooking slower.
I've got it now down to 15 minutes a run, if there is a deeds in A Time for Heroes i will take 18 if there is 2 deeds it will take just over 20 minutes.

I would like to join in too for Mallyx if someone is going for him... As Ursan. ;)
 
Gratz with killing the big monkey... it is quite special to get him out of the way! :)

Even though you used a fairly imba group right there with the 5x Ursans - lots of people still use them for farming and clearing DoA, and a few other elite areas too.
PUGs in these areas are generally not good, you must have a good team and people that are familiar with each others play styles.

I am very proud of doing it on my Necro (with a modified 'Imbagon'-build! :D) and another guildie (modified Nuker Ele iirc), the rest were all heroes.
 
I finished Mallyx quest on my first try :P call me lucky or call my paragon imba.. hehe imbagon! :D

Imbagons are said to work well in most elite places....

So no one up for a revisit?

I need one more area then Mallyx.
 
I can do with some GW'ing again. Havent touched it for a good 6 months now, plus my mate at campus is using it as a packmule atm ^.^

Hopefully I'll get my PC back from Pinnacle by Thursday then we get a party going?

I saw a 2 man team with heroes for mallyx.

Else I will get some guildies to join.
