You've put it on 20A right? It will probably be at 100% by then.... And you can't do a 24hr charge now regardless so ya I'd use it. What are you gonna run on it?

the wife got this earlier from work

it is showing 25%

we are due for load shedding at 20h00

it says charge for 24 hours before use

what do i do?

Lead acid so not be that low? Esp when bought new (Store at low level kills em)

Hope its lith ion cause that gets stored at 30% so 25 means its old but still ok.

I have no idea about 20A

It'll be 2 routers and about 3 PC's with dual screens

You have to ask yourself this question.
Do you really need 3 computers running during load shedding?

Don't you want to rather just keep your wifi router, 1 pc, some LED lighting going during load shedding and keep your battery/batteries sitting healthy hardly dropping any voltage at all? That's what I do and therefore have been enjoying many many years out of my lead-acid batteries.

aaaah okay, I never read the previous posts.
I assumed you and the family were all wanting to enjoy DSTV, Showmax, YouTube, Netflix, etc all at once oblivious to the load shedding

It is mine...
Whole area is in darkness right now, yet my wife is watching TV and I am yapping on MyBB with music in my ear and we have lights. ;)
Seems the load shedding schedule has changed.

I dont think Eskom even knows the F they are doing... my schedule started an hour late....

Edit: Looking at the other threads here it seems Im not the only one finding LS schedule going for a wack

Aaaaaaah it all make sense now. Now I know why you have no clue re batteries.
That price tells me its Lead acid batteries.

Maybe someone can help out if I am wrong but my understanding is that Lead Acid usually ships at 90% as they self discharge and can even drop as far as 60%. within 6 months. The fact that it was 25% is worrying as that means they where bellow 12V. (24V combined)

Personally I would not plug anything into trolley before its fully charged (100%).

Well now they are doing 2 hour schedules in Joburg, I wasn't supposed to be hit today, until the new schedule

Lol 2 hour cuts. We had a "power failure" which started at 11:15am. Our load shedding is meant to start at 8pm but they haven't fixed the power failure yet.

Maybe we will have power tomorrow sometime :notworthy:

Thank God for the inverter... Its helping us maintain some level of sanity

That's a lot of power... It won't last long on that...

We just run our internet, a few lamps and occasionally the TV for a bit if we want to spoil ourselves

Use it, but keep an eye on battery level and switch off at 50%. Then give it a full charge when power comes back. Hopefully batteries are ok because 25% charge is very bad to be left at for any length of time.
